Everyone seems to cheer the fact that India currently houses the largest share of Youth in the World.
Also, current share of youth stands at 35% of the total population while the closest any nation can get is China
which has 27% youth of the total population( which is contantly shrinking since 1990s)
Not only that, we will continue to hold the title of larget youth population for next twenty years very comfortably.
However, if you closely look at the youth distribution you will find few things very disturbing:
1. 15-29 year old youth ( According to revised National Youth Policy: 15-29 year-olds are chosen as youth in India ) increased from 168 million in 1971 to 422 million in 2011- presently it is more than 440 million.
This clearly shows that we need more jobs than ever. To present the facts more clearly, let's imagine we need more startups
in next five years than the total number of startups present in the entire World.
2. Sex-ratio is consistently decreasing from 1
