Demonstrations: What Can Security Do?
 In this episode, corporate security expert, Nicole McDargh uses the example of the recent news case in which a group of demonstrators breached Capitol Hill to talk about some basic corporate security principles that can guide security managers in preparing to safeguard their organizations against potential damage. She describes four security principles to guide the discussion:  1) Ensure you have a comprehensive understanding of the actors  and event by leveraging information available on social media (open-source intel)2) Reach out to public and private partners in order to increase your own understanding and to form strong prevention networks 3) Plan a physical security response that is appropriate for the threat 4) Ensure you bolster your training to all prevention, response, and impacted members of your organization. She discusses the importance of properly leveraging all sources of information and ensuring a strong security culture, appropriate training, and regular communication in order to minimize the impact of such an event.   Join us!
