In 1994, Nathan's worries consisted of outgrowing his roller blades. Nathan was only nine when he experienced his first death. Timmy, a blonde haired cousin of Nathan, lost his life in the summer of 1994. Nathan also shares the song he wrote for his cousin, "Timmy Went Swimming". The last death call Nathan and Megan took together, was a heavy one. The phone rang differently this day, it was a little one. Nathan tells the story of going to the loved ones family home. Making sure to ask permission, he heads upstairs to see the child's room. He promises the family gentle, exceptional care. The process was heartfelt, unexpected, holy, somber.
