The Benefits of Yoga
This episode of the podcast was inspired by an article listing 100 benefits of yoga. Jamie is joined on the show by fellow Yoga Evolved teacher and anatomy enthusiast Andrea Shelton. They discuss the benefits of yoga, particularly around dealing with depression. After talking about the benefits they move on to discussing the potential negatives. Jamie asks Andi about the main physical dangers of the practice and gets her top tips for avoiding yoga’s most common injuries. Pregnancy Yoga is an area of yoga that many teachers do not have a lot of knowledge in. It is rarely included in teacher training courses outside of specific pregnancy yoga trainings. There are also a lot of different thoughts and opinions on the subject online, making it very hard to do your own research.
