It’s the final episode of the season and host Price Atkinon recapped No. 22 Army’s 70-14 drubbing of Houston in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl. He also takes a look back at the single-game records Army broke and more. Our final “Game Ball” of the season goes to Army junior QB Kelvin Hopkins Jr., who rushed 11 times for a game-high 170 yards and 5 TDs in the win over Houston! Then Price talks with Chris Vannini the national college football writer for The Athletic and primarily covers the Group of 5. We talked with him about Army, Navy and Air Force’s seasons, the staying power head coach Jeff Monken has built for the Black Knights atop service academy football plus which of the three head coaches he expects to land the first Power 5 head coaching gig.

Air Force has a new Athletic Director in Nathan Pine, hired from Holy Cross, while both Army and Navy are searching for new defensive coordinators. Jay Bateman is leaving Army for the same position at UNC, while longtime Navy assistant Dale Pherson has opted to retire from coaching.

Price Atkinson recaps the annual rivalry matchup, how Army won its third-straight in the series including game highlights from the Army and Navy Radio Networks. This week’s “Game Ball” presented by Military.com Army junior safety Jaylon McClinton. The native of Charlotte, NC intercepted a pass early in the game and then forced a fumble in the fourth quarter that teammate James Gibson recovered, preventing Navy’s first TD of the game. Then Price talks with several members of the Black Knights program including Army Athletic Director Boo Corrigan, head coach Jeff Monken and junior DE Cole Christiansen.

Price sets the stage for Saturday’s 119th Army-Navy Game presented by USAA in Philadelphia, PA between the 9-2 Black Knights and 3-9 Midshipmen. Our first of seven guests on this “Army-Navy Preview Special” is Army junior linebacker and co-captain Cole Christiansen. And much more on today's Yards and Stripes.

The season is winding down and we looked back at the two games last weekend including Air Force closing out the season with a 27-19 win over rival Colorado State to capture the Ram- Falcon Trophy. And once again, Navy lost on a late, two-point conversion 28-27 at Tulane. This week’s “Game Ball” presented by Military.com went to Air Force junior fullback Cole Fagan, who had a career Thanksgiving afternoon with career-highs 34 carries and 260 yards in the win against Colorado State. Price Then speaks to former Navy and NY Giants WR Phil McConkey talks about the rivalry.

We recap our three games from the weekend including Army’s 28-14 victory over undefeated Colgate and Wyoming rallying past Air Force 35-27 in the game’s final minutes. Our weekly “Game Ball” presented by Military.com goes out to Navy senior QB Zach Abey who led the Mids with a season-high 128 yards and 2 TDs in the Mids’ 37-29 win over Tulsa on Senior Day in Annapolis. Abey has 39 career TDs, ranking fourth in Navy school history. Then Air Force WR Marcus Bennett talks about his last home game. The show closes with a Thanksgiving weekend preview.

Price recapped all the action over the weekend including Army and Air Force’s victories as well as Navy loss at No. 11 UCF. Our weekly “Game Ball” presented by Military.com went to Air Force junior safety Grant Theil. In his first-career start on Saturday, Theil made 7 tackles but more importantly forced back-to-back turnovers in the third quarter of the Falcons’ win against New Mexico. He intercepted his first-career pass and then forced a fumble on the next possession, both leading to a pair of Air Force touchdowns! Then Price talks with Army RB Darnell Woolfolk about the season so far. The show closes with a weekend preview.

And the Commander-In-Chief Trophy will stay at West Point for another season, as Army defeated Air Force 17-14 at Michie Stadium. Army will retain the Trophy outright with a win over Navy but a loss would award it by default back to the Black Knights. Price also recapped Navy’s disastrous 42-0 loss at Cincinnati. Our weekly “Game Ball” presented by Military.com goes to Army senior running back Darnell Woolfolk who capped a 21-play, 75- yard drive to start the game that took 12:55 off the clock by going in for the 1-yard TD run. He later converted a 4 th and 1 by breaking free for a career-long 52-yard run that setup Army’s second TD of the game. Then Price talks to Former Navy free safety and current pro race car driver Jesse Iwuji who is now driving one four different pro racing series,including NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series. He closes out with a weekend Preview.

Army continued rolling, easily handling Eastern Michigan 37-22 on the road, while Air Force couldn’t keep pace with Boise State in a 48-38 loss. Navy had no answer for No. 3 Notre Dame en route to a 44-22 defeat in San Diego. Our weekly “Game Ball” presented by Military.com goes out to Army senior running back Jordan Asberry rushed for a 3-yard TD late in the first half and a big play 26-yard TD late in the third quarter, both of which were huge in the Black Knights’ win over EMU. Price then speaks with Army senior linebacker James Nachtigal as they get set to take on Air Force.

Price recaps the weekend, including Army’s 31-30 OT thriller against Miami (OH), Air Force’s win at UNLV and also Navy’s home loss to Houston. We give out our weekly “Game Ball” to Air Force junior QB Isaiah Sanders who had a career night with almost 400 yards of total offense, 3 TDs and 217 yards passing en route to being named MW Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Price then talks with Col. Jarvis Baker (Air Force Vice Director of Athetics). He then closes out to preview this weekend's games.

In today's episode, Price welcomes Navy Football Director of Player Personnel Omar Nelson. The 1997 Naval Academy graduate spent 14 seasons in the broadcast booth as the color analyst on the Navy radio network before moving to the coaching staff. He talked about the transition from the booth to the coaching staff, the recruiting message, how they target prospects and much more from the recruiting side of things.

Former Army starting QB Ronnie McAda led the Black Knights to a 10-2 record and most importantly the Commander-In-Chief Trophy in 1996. McAda was also “Mr. Irrelevant” as the final draft pick from the 1997 NFL Draft (selected No. 240 overall by the Green Bay Packers). He shared what it was like to be the “pick right before Peyton Manning,” how much playing for the Black Knights meant to him and his two sons dream of playing college football at Army.

Host Price Atkinson was in Colorado Springs over the weekend for the first leg of the CIC Trophy and witnessed Air Force’s 35-7 dismantling of visiting Navy. Our “Game Ball” presented by Military.com this week was a no- brainer. Sophomore QB D.J. Hammond started his first-career game for the Falcons and was outstanding, rushing 19 times for 60 yards and 3 TDs while throwing for 142 yards and 1 TD. Price then speaks to former Army QB and "Mr. Irrelevant" Ronnie McAda. He then closes out with his weekly preview.

We looked back on Army’s 42-13 win at previously undefeated Buffalo and Nevada’s 28-25 Mountain West victory at Air Force. Plus we handed out our weekly “Game Ball” presented by Military.com to Army junior DB Elijah Riley who returned a blocked FG for an 80-yard TD. Price Atkinson then speaks with Navy Play-by-Play man Pete Medhurst about the upcoming game against Air Force. Then T.J. Rives breaks down the match up and a few other games of note.

Price Atkinson breaks down the results from over the weekend. All three teams were on the road last weekend and played three thrilling games down to the wire led by Army taking No. 5 Oklahoma to overtime before falling 28-21. Navy fell to SMU 31- 30 in OT, as the Mustangs went for two and the win in the first overtime period. Rallying from a 35-17 deficit, Air Force came up short 42-32 at Utah State. After the recaps, Price welcomes former Air Force head coach Ken Hatfield who talks about his time in Colorado Springs. He then gives a preview for the games this weekend.

Ken Hatfield’s first head coaching job was at the Air Force Academy (1979-83) where he won two CIC Trophies. He joined host Price Atkinson to talk about his time in Colorado Springs and his first college coaching job at West Point coaching the plebes. He also described what it’s like now serving on the College Football Playoff selection committee as one of the newest members.

Chad Jenkins graduated from West Point in 2002 and walked off the field a winner in his final collegiate game, defeating Navy as the Army starting QB in December 2001. He went to serve as a member of the U.S. Army’s Elite 75 th Ranger Regiment and deployed the Iraq four times before joining the FBI’s Counterterrorism division. He talked with Price about the significance of his final game being the first Army-Navy game played after the 9/11 attacks in 2001, why the game means even more to him now after opening up on recently being diagnosed with PTSD as well as the turnaround coach Jeff Monken has engineered at Army.

Price Atkinson then recaps Army’s 28-21 win against undefeated Hawaii and Navy’s 51-21 cakewalk over FCS Lehigh. The Rainbows hadn’t trailed all season and Army knocked down a fourth down pass in the end zone with less than a minute left to hang for the win. Navy QB Malcolm Perry was masterful in rushing for a game-high 223 yards and 3 TDs in their win. Price handed out this week’s “Game Ball” presented by Military.com to Army QB Kelvin Hopkins Jr., who rushed for a game-high 110 yards and 2 TDs and also threw for 162 yards. Tom O’Brien was a three-year starter for Navy at defensive end and is a 1971 Naval Academy graduate. He went on to become the head coach at Boston College and NC State and is now in his second season working as the color analyst on the Navy radio network. He talked with Price about his transition from the sideline to the broadcast booth, leading his Boston College team as a Navy grad into Annapolis for the first game after the Sept. 11, 2001 and how it was different than any other game he had coached. O’Brien also shared his feelings why current Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo has been so successful in Annapolis plus his son Dan working on the coaching staff.

Price Atkinson recaps the weekend, including Navy’s 22-21 comeback thriller against Memphis, Army’s 38-14 victory against Liberty and Air Force’s 33-27 loss at FAU. Our weekly “Game Ball” goes to Navy senior safety Sean Williams, who forced two first quarter fumbles against Memphis and led the Mids in tackles with nine. Williams was also named American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
