We conclude our series of Black History Month Reports with a look at famous, and not so famous, African American Inventors.

It can take years for an artist - in whatever medium to develop and master their craft. In Kentucky, a government-sponsored program is working to make sure the artist's knowledge continues to thrive in local communities.

Our series of Black History Month stories continues with a look back at the life and accomplishments of E. Belle Jackson; one of fifteen African American women who established Lexington's Colored Orphan Industrial Home more than a century ago.

WUKY and the Isaac Scott Hathaway Museum are commemorating Black History Month with lesser known stories of prominent local African-Americans. In this segment, curator Yvonne Giles introduces us to Lexington's Alfred Russell who, for a time presided over the African nation of Liberia.
