Fantastic preview episode the first of hopefully an annual show for the GSW fans world wide and in New Jersey.

GSW - Global Syndicate Wrestling - is a new and exciting wrestling promotion that has kickstarted their journey during the pandemic, not only demonstrating their willingness to take on difficult times but also a show of their passion for professional wrestling. Following on from their successful first show Inception, I was fortunate enough to speak with the GSW Founder Brandon Ascari about his post-show feelings, some of the logistics behind running a wrestling promotion and many of the unique tools from the film industry that he is able to utilize and help his business grow. For the first time I get to sit down with Shaheen for a second time and its amazing to reflect on how things have changed since we first spoke 9 months ago. Developments in professional wrestling in this region has not only grown exponentially but also developed into something that is tangiable and strong. As we discuss opportunities which present itself, we also touch on the future and what this means for future aspiring professional wrestlers. Much of our inspiration comes through knowledge and discipline towards training and athleticism. But it really comes down to the work ethic that allows you to push to reach goals that are not only limited to the middle east, but to the whole world. Our ambitions are high but we are also focused on achieving truly what we desire.

Merv has had an incredible career in MMA and more importantly a huge history of fighting, from his beginnings at age 4 to becoming a coach at age 15, Merv has developed a wealth of experience and knowledge that is respected and admired by his peers. His MMA career began in late 2000's in Northern Ireland and gone on to compete in a number of events with Cage Warriors and Clan Wars to name a few. We talk about his early days getting started, how his school Bushido MMA was born and how his journey from a countryside in Northern Ireland all the way to sunny Dubai has taken place and is still in process. (Featuring Billy Reynolds) It was a pleasure to catch up and share memories with B-Rey, as we go back to circa 2006 where we were training every week to become professional wrestlers. Billy went on to have a great career winning some memorable titles but also having a good time. We revisit the early days of our interest for the business and also look into what it really takes to be a solid pro wrestler nowadays. With similar interests and a passion for the old school style of wrestling, it was good to take a trip down memory lane and look at some funny memories and also good moments we had 10+ years ago.

I have a great deal of respect for the methods he used to train me and the old school art of professional wrestling. I count myself lucky to have been trained by Adam. He played a big role in the training school at the time as he was the counter-part to our head coach Justin Richards which ultimately gave the students the ideal combination of theory and practice, from two people that applied what they knew in legendary promotions like NWA Hammerlock during the 90's. It was not only good to get to know Adam better but also see how his career spans over 26 years, he still competes today at the highest level while being able to teach the younger stars new skills. I have great admiration for his ability to keep going and also take on other challenges, like 7 straight marathons which he has completed consistently. The journey spans back to 2016 when we were filling up boxes of chicken as it was a fixed price for the salad bar. This eventually became a journey into various Tesco visits and Kippers Tuesday, Mackerel Thursday, large Dorito consumption and lots of beer. As time went on we still remained comrades and have visited churches, yachts and fire exit staircases. From Mayfair to London Bridge to Dubai, we have had adventures pretty much everywhere we’ve gone. This is the first of many by the way. Texas Rangers is a way of life.

(Featuring Sanjay Bagga) This was a great opportunity to catch up with Sanjay and also find out what it's like building a promotion from the ground up. Coming to the decision to promote shows and sell tickets is not only a business risk but also not an easy achievement and Sanjay turned it into a growing business that is now expanding across the UK and Internationally. Although I met Sanjay as a young fan in 2004/05, I got to know him properly as one of his students in 2008 and he gave me my first opportunity to perform in a wrestling ring in front of an audience. When I decided that I wanted to become a pro wrestler, I knew I had to find a school where I could train and LDN was that school. We talk about some of the factors of what it takes to successfully develop a brand but also some of the people along the way who have helped. It was a great insight to see how the building blocks (LDN name, belt design, training school to name a few) all came about which were the developing years for the brand. It was also good to understand how far he has been able to reach out to a wider audience and keep the demand for authentic British wrestling strong with his loyal and growing fanbase. We talk about some favourite and funny memories during the early years and also his future plans for the promotion. KOM is based out of Florida and was a huge part of HRA Wrestling, not only the champion but also the top guy for a long time. His knowledge and passion for wrestling led him into becoming a ring announcer for independent promotions across Florida, as he did this for the love of pro wrestling. We talked about his early days getting exposed to the business but also some of his greatest memories being involved in wrestling. I had the priviledge and opportunity to catch up with my first and only wrestling coach, a man who not only trained me how to wrestle but also taught me how to find myself as a person. I first started training with Justin around the beginning of 2009 until the later part of 2011 and these were truly the years where I grew from a boy into a young man. He taught his students how to be tough, strong but also do the right thing. I took this chance to ask him questions about his entry into the wrestling business, as a champion amateur wrestler who then progressed into being a two time British heavyweight champion. After a fantastic career as a wrestler, he was still able to continue his craft as a coach. This eventually turned into the development of his school JRSW (Justin Richards School of Wrestling) which was not only the best school in the country at the time, but developed some of the best pool of talent when it came to wrestlers.
