She recently was published as a co-author in “The Chronicles of Women in White Coats”. She is an orthopedic surgeon, a wife, a mother to three beautiful girls, a wine and cheese connoisseur, a co-author of “The Chronicles of Women in White Coats”, and a breast cancer survivor. She is passionate about writing and watching movies on the couch with a giant bucket of popcorn. She loves to travel and try new places and new foods. Kendra Segura, MD, MPH, FACOG, is an obstetrician-gynecologist who is known as Dr. Kendra: Your Ob/Gyn Next Door®. She currently works at Kaiser Permanente in southern California. Dr. Dalian Caraballo is a board-certified family physician based in Miami, FL, at Your Family MD.  She was born and raised in Puerto Rico.  After residency, Dr. Caraballo worked in the field of urgent care and occupational medicine before moving to Florida. Dr. Annette Ansong is one of the 20 amazing women in white coats nominated for the Women in White Coats Hero of the Year award. Annette K. Ansong, MD, FACC is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist.  The daughter of immigrants from Ghana, she grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC.  For college, she attended the University of Virginia. After graduating from medical school at Howard University, Dr. Ansong completed her pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship training at Duke University Medical Center.  She enjoys patient care and finding innovative ways of improving that care.
