As Donald Trump stood in front of the whole world on Monday and claimed he had "total authority" as president, where were all of the Congressional Republicans? Where were all of the so-called conservative media superstars? They were silent. They didn't have the guts to stand up and tell Trump that he's wrong. Because of that, they're just as guilty as he is.

Of all the terrible things about Donald Trump, the thing that had always bothered me the most is his inability to ever tell the truth about anything. His constant lying undermines his ability to lead, and now his lies are getting people killed.

Rep. Justin Amash continues to send signals that he's thinking about running as a Libertarian, but this is a terrible idea. If 2020 is all about removing Trump from the White House, then the only name on the ballot other than Trump's should be the Democratic nominee.
