On this week's episode I'm telling Russ about the crazy case of Brian Shaffer. This case is so frustrating because there are so many theories and unanswered questions! Did Brian fool everyone and perform the ultimate Irish Goodbye? Was he killed by someone close to him? Was he the victim of a serial killer?? So. many. questions. Moral of this story... "Ya'll Need Science"- Patricia Stallings
On this week's episode I tell Russ the crazy case of Patty Stallings. This story proves that science, although usually accurate, is not always perfect. I'm on a wrongful conviction kick lately and this case is another example of how easy it is for an innocent person to be sent to prison for a crime they didn't commit. Patty Stallings had one heart break after another but persevered through it all. Moral of this story... sometimes there is more below the surface, so don't jump to conclusions too quickly.

Weird Details, Loose Ends and Lots of Possibilities - Jamison Family Deaths

The One About Cults - Vallow/Daybell and Heaven's Gate
On this week’s episode we finally discuss cults! So I’ve been avoiding talking to Russ about cults because I am totally obsessed and he thinks they are incredibly stupid. But, we decided to dive into this one. It’s actually a 2 for 1 special! I give a summary and update on the Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell case, as well as, tell him all about one of my favorite cults to learn about... Heaven’s Gate. Moral of this story... if they tell you it’s a good idea to chop off your balls because it will help you get to heaven... you’re definitely in a cult 😅 Sponsor: www.barkbox.com/wifeofcrime Join the Patreon!: https://www.patreon.com/wifeofcrimepod

She's a maniac for love - Jodi Arias
On this week's episode I am telling Russ the case of Jodi Arias and the brutal murder of Travis Alexander. The two of them had different ideas of what they wanted from their relationship. Travis saw this as a casual fling and Jodi saw him as the man of her dreams. Jodi's obsession drove her to go to crazy lengths to keep other women away from him. Even if that mean't getting rid of him altogether. Moral of this story... stop with the "friends with benefits" folks... someone always catches feelings and the person who does just may be a sociopath! Hope - The abduction and survival of Jaycee Lee Dugard
On this week's episode I tell Russ the crazy and amazing story of Jaycee Lee Dugard. Jaycee was 11 years old when she was abducted in front of her home in South Lake Tahoe, California while walking to the bus stop. We usually stay away from cases about anything bad happening to kids but this case is so remarkable I just had to tell it. This woman's story proves that there is hope for the families of missing children. It also is a case that shows us once again if you dig down deep you can survive anything. Moral of this story...no matter what, even in the darkest of places, never loose hope! Podcast Sponsor: www.barkbox.com/wifeofcrime Become a Patron: https://www.patreon.com/wifeofcrimepod

Sleep with one eye open folks! - Christopher Porco
In this week's episode, I'm telling Russ about the tragic murder and attempted murder of Peter and Joan Porco. This crime was committed by the couples own son! How do you know when you have kids that you're going to raise a good one? ...It truly is a gamble. Is it nature or nurture? this story will show sometimes no matter how great of a parent you are, a person's evil nature still comes out. Chris Porco maintains his innocence to this day but I'm not buying it and neither did the jury at his trial. Moral of this story... #Justice4KJ-The mysterious death of Kendrick Johnson
On this week's episode I tell Russ the tragic and mysterious case of Kendrick Johnson. I decided to tell him this case now because the true crime community found out last week that Kendrick's case is being reopened. This case has baffled and frustrated me for years, for soooo many reasons. I was excited to tell Russ this one because he doesn't know anything about it and I wanted to hear his off the cuff reaction to the details. I really enjoyed discussing this one because hearing him react to this case made me feel like I was hearing this case for the first time. I truly hope this year there is finally justice for Kendrick Johnson. Moral of this story... things aren't always what they seem. Today's episode is sponsored by : https://podcorn.com

Don't Talk, Just Listen- The Weepy Voice Killer
On this week's episode, I tell Russ the case of Paul Stephani a.k.a The Weepy Voice Killer. I'm always surprised at how little attention this serial killer got compared to the other ones. He was brutal. He was also supposedly remorseful for his crimes and claimed he really wanted to be stopped. Listen to hear how Russ reacts to this one... I'm sure if you've been Wife of Crime Family for a while you already know Russ is not the one to give sympathy... especially to a level 10 POS serial killer. My Toxic Valentine - Erika and Benjamin Sifrit
On this week's episode, in honor of Valentine's Day, I tell Russ a love story. It's a story about two psychopaths that somehow found each other and then decided to co sign each others disturbing behavior. Erika and Ben Sifrit were a match made in hell and sadly an innocent couple enjoying their vacation got caught in their web. Every year we bring you a case of a killer couple because we really want to make your Valentine's week extra romantic :) Moral of this story...#NOnewfriends.

"All this for a 5?"- Cari Farver
On this week's episode I tell Russ the twisted case of Cari Farver. On a previous episode Russ said something super annoying. He said, "men can't be stalked." Like I said... super annoying... so this week I'm telling him the story of a man who was in fact stalked! this case is so nuts on so many levels! They say " hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" well in this case you will see just how far a scorned woman will go. Moral of this story....use this case as a cautionary tale when online dating... be ready to fight if you're gonna swipe right :)

Science Didn't Exist!!- Jack the Ripper
On this week's episode I tell Russ the case of one of the most infamous serial killer's in the world, Jack the Ripper. While this case is wildly famous it has yet to be solved and is still stumping web sleuths to this very day! Jack was one of the first of many serial killers, the only difference is he lived in a time with no technology which made the investigation nearly impossible. Moral of this story... Ya'll need science!

"You're a Rat!"-Donnie Brasco
On this week's episode I tell Russ the story of the most successful FBI undercover mission in US history... Operation Sun-Apple a.k.a the story of Donnie Brasco! This is such an interesting case because one man went deeper into the Italian mafia than anyone had ever been. It was first time that law enforcement could see and understand the inner workings of the Cosa Nostra. This mission led to the arrest of 230 mafia members and associates and single handily dismantled the Bananno crime family in the early 80's. Russ and I both had mixed feelings about this one. I'm interested to see how you guys feel about how this all went down. Moral of this story... "When they send for you you go in alive, and come out dead, and it's your friend that does it." - Al Pacino as "Lefty Ruggiero"

The Starving Artist- Julie Kibuishi and Sam Herr
On this week's episode I tell Russ about the crazy case of Julie Kibuishi and Sam Herr. Police thought this was just another crime of passion. But they quickly realized there was way more to this story, and in fact, would go in a direction they never expected. This case is like something out of a shakespearean drama and it includes a couple more players. It's full of twists and turns with a tragic and unexpected ending. Moral of this story... "All that glitters is not gold, these violent delights have violent ends. Hell is empty and all the devils are here."

Street Justice - The murder of Ken Rex McElroy
We're Back!!! On this week’s episode I tell Russ all about the murder of Ken Rex McElroy. There is nothing worse then a bully and after being terrorized by one for 2 decades the small town of Skidmore Missouri had enough. In 1981, in broad daylight, Ken Rex McElroy was gunned down in front of 60 witness but to this day the case remains unsolved and the people of this town claim that none of them saw a thing. Moral of this story... what goes around most certainly comes around especially if you’re a scumbag POS bully.

Not Me, Not Today!- The takedown of Tommy Lynn Sells
On this weeks episode, I give you and Russ a 2 for 1 special. A survivor story and serial killer story all rolled into one. Krystal Surles survived the attack of a serial killer and then mustered up the strength to stay alive and help the cops take him down! And by the way... SHE WAS ONLY 10 YEARS OLD! Moral of this story... “ though she be but little, she is fierce!”
