WGN - That Ain't Right #4
Thanks for joining us for another episode of... THAT! AIN'T! RIGHT! This week, Bradd found a citizen reporting website whose aim seems to basically push the limits of local law enforcement to see if the rights of the public are actually applicable in practice. He's all for keeping a watchful journalistic eye, but something about this approach made him say "that ain't right." Brandon chimes in on the recent footage of a school resource officer throwing an uncooperative student out of her desk and to the ground. As we've come to expect from Brandon, he's got a bit of an "against the grain" opinion and he'll tell us just what about this whole situation he thinks ain't right. Breanna's shocked at the narrow margin with which the local push to raise minimum wage to $15/hour was defeated. She'll break down some basic economics for us as we discuss wages, local bond issues, and the US Debt Clock. Finally... Sometimes when you're walking through Freeport and you walk by a hot dog stand, and you get the smell....and it smells really good, and you want a hot dog....you can get cancer?!? Breanna knows the hot dogs are gross but now they evidently give us more diseases than previously thought. We'll listen to her thoughts on the fact that there has been a startling amount of human DNA found in hot dogs and the WHO's revelation that processed meat and red meat are likely to give us all cancer. Let us know what YOU think ain't right, folks! Email us at email@example.com and leave us a review on the iTunes podcast store. We can't wait to hear from you!

WGN 8: Kindergarten, Coastlines, and Uncle Joe
On this episode of Wicked Good News, we’ll be discussing the push to delay the start of kindergarten by one year and the pros and cons of tweaking the current structure of the school day. We’ll also go over a recent article in the Bangor Daily News that highlights the local dangers of a rising sea level and even provides some interactive maps that demonstrate how those coastlines will change over time. Given Joe Biden’s recent announcement that he will not be joining the 2016 presidential race, we talk about how this may shape the political landscape going forward. And in a fascinating turn of events, the Westbroro Baptist Church recently picketed Kim Davis’s courthouse, so we have a few things to say about their twisted logic. What do you think? Feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and rate us on the iTunes podcast store! We want to hear from you!

WGN - That Ain't Right #3
We're back from a little break! Join us for the third edition of That Ain't Right! We're discussing the recent decision of a local school to ban all school sponsored dances (apart from prom) because they feel like they can no longer police the 'bump and grind' culture. Bre feels like there could be some other options because this one in particular ain't right! (Although Brandon and Bradd disagree...) We'll also be picking apart Emma Watson's claims that Hollywood is inherently sexist because she hasn't worked with as many women as she has worked with men. Brandon's not buying into it since he thinks this just ain't right. A woman suffering from Body Integrity Identity Disorder made the dramatic (traumatic!) decision to blind herself with the help of a psychiatrist and some drain cleaner and now says her life has never been better. Bradd thinks this ain't right. Finally we'll discuss the spectacle that is the Donald Trump shitshow. So many things ain't right that it's almost right. Like what you hear?
