The Introduction to Rachel K. Ellis-Payne (W.W.P. Episode #009)
On this episode of the Wheelchair Warrior Project I introduce you to my good friend Rachel K. Ellis-Payne, there may even be a surprise guest by the name of Baliegh Elizabeth Weber (she is somehow ending up in a lot of episodes...) This interview is a special interview in the idea that it actually came about in quite a spontaneous manner. Rachel had got in contact with Baliegh one night, as she was starting to talk to someone who was newly in a wheelchair and had some questions.  When I say spontaneous I mean it, as from the moment Rachel had questions for Baliegh, we set up everything for an episode of the podcast within. 15 minutes. This gave the interview a very raw feel and quite honestly none of us really could have anticipated the angles that the interview would take.  If you want to find Rachel on Social Media, you can do so by going to: -Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rachelraquel_ If you would like to find Baliegh on Social Media you can do so by going to: -Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wifeyweber Do you like the Wheelchair Warrior Project? If the answer is yes, be sure to like, subscribe or do whatever it is your podcast platform tells you to do. W.W.P. Episode #008 (with Veronica Garcia)
Welcome to the eighth interview of the Wheelchair Warrior Project! In interview #8 I sit down with my friend Veronica Garcia! This episode of the Wheelchair Warrior Project is the first of many on a couple of accounts. This episode is an episode full of laughs but also serious moments that allowed myself to really open up about some situations and fun times that I have gone through in my life. Did I mention that this episode will also be available on YouTube? If you are looking for live reactions to the questions that were asked in realtime then you are going to want to take a trip over to our YouTube channel as well. ;) Veronica has found the "Love Your Scar Movement." The Introduction to Veronica Garcia (W.W.P. Episode #008)
On this episode of the Wheelchair Warrior Project I introduce you to my good friend Veronica Garcia. As you know the original promise was to have the introduction episodes released every Monday and here we are two days later. The truth is after not feeling well for the last couple of days, I finally feel well enough to get this episode out to the world. This episode is going to push the envelope past where we have gone before with the interviews in the past. Prior to even doing this interview, Veronica made sure to get me mentally ready for what was about to come while answering some of the post scheduling questions by saying, "Just be ready!" So here I was...ready! This episode took some twists and turns in such a way that I believed this should be the first episode where we also post the actual video on YouTube as well, so that is exactly what I am going to do. Given my excellent timing, I don't have all of the information I usually have to point you in the direction of our awesome guests' world like I usually do, but as promised I will follow through with it. Look for more information about our guest in a special introduction before the start of our interview on Friday letting you in on all of the awesome things that Veronica is up to and how you can be a part of her world! Do you like the Wheelchair Warrior Project? If the answer is yes, be sure to like, subscribe or do whatever it is your podcast platform tells you to do. W.W.P. Episode #007 (with Kortney Peralta and Baliegh Weber)
Welcome to the seventh interview of the Wheelchair Warrior Project! In interview #7 I sit down with Kortney Peralta aka my mom and a special guest Baliegh Weber (the hottest woman on the planet) aka my wife. This interview takes a spin on the whole idea of the Wheelchair Warrior Project as Baliegh sits down and interviews my mom from the perspective of someone in childcare to the point of view of someone who is the mother of a child in a wheelchair. This interview is important from the point of view of someone like my mom who did not have all of the answers to raising a child who was wheelchair bound, but gave it her best shot every step of the way. You also get to see (or hear rather hahaha) the funny moments of Baliegh putting me on the spot for some tricks and tips I have used along the way to get the best out of my 8am college classes. When you hear it you will know what I am talking about trust me! Though my mom is not super active on Social Media, if you want to find her and tell her how awesome she is you can do so by going to https://www.facebook.com/kortney.olguin or just simply searching Kortney Peralta on Facebook. The Introduction to Kortney Peralta (W.W.P. Episode #007)
On this episode of the Wheelchair Warrior Project I introduce you to the one...the only... Kortney Peralta aka my mom! This interview that you are soon going to hear, is important in so many ways, but most importantly due to the perspective of my mom raising a son in a wheelchair while honestly just figuring it out as she went along. This interview comes packed with a cool twist as my wife Baliegh agreed to ask my mom questions on her mind from a childcare perspective to a mother of a child who has lived his life in a wheelchair. Though my mom is not super active on Social Media, if you want to find her and tell her how awesome she is you can do so by going to https://www.facebook.com/kortney.olguin or just simply searching Kortney Peralta on Facebook. W.W.P. Episode #006 (with Paul Samia)
Welcome to the sixth interview of the Wheelchair Warrior Project! In interview #6 I sit down with Paul Samia. This interview is important in the idea of really having someone on the podcast that is not afraid to hold back. This interview in particular is one of my favorites as it really opens up the truth that absolutely can be asked at any time on the podcast.  Do you like the Wheelchair Warrior Project? The Introduction to Swarup Rao DG (W.W.P. Episode #005)
On this episode of the Wheelchair Warrior Project, I am delighted to introduce to you Swarup Rao DG. Swarup came into my life well over a year ago just by chance. He may not admit this to you, but I think I became part of his cold outreach to get more clients (more on that later hahaha). Either which way after Swarup reached out we found out that we had similar interests and attributes around the Digital Marketing space and complemented each other quite well. This is what soon would grow into our friendship that we have come to know that would blossom into something great! (He paid me to say that...Or maybe he didn't?) Swarup in his spare time is looking to help business owners expand their brand and reach through Facebook Advertising, Sales Funnels, Social Media Management, Online Business Management, Project Management and much more... If you are needing someone who is qualified to help get your business and brand out in the world Swarup and his team is your go to. W.W.P. Episode #004 (with Kerry Richardson)
Welcome to the fourth interview of the Wheelchair Warrior Project! In interview #4 I sit down with my friend Kerry Richardson. If you are looking for an interview of the Wheelchair Warrior Project that really gets down to the nitty-gritty then this is your episode! As we sat back and talked, it slowly unfolded from questions that many friends would ask one another, to the questions that might only be asked of someone in a wheelchair if you were on the Wheelchair Warrior Project...(if you catch my drift!) Kerry is fun and energetic so it always brings a good time to hear what he has to say. A strong advocate of his brand "We Give 110" you see it bleeding through in all that he talks about in this interview. The Introduction to Kerry Richardson (W.W.P. Episode #004)
On this episode of the Wheelchair Warrior Project, I am delighted to introduce to you Kerry Richardson. Kerry came into my life a little over a year ago, through working with ClickFunnels. A common theme with Devon though is I didn't actually like Kerry (I promise I am an okay guy...hahaha). He worked in the Quality Assurance department and he just so happened to be the first person to grade my tickets. I was convinced that he didn't like me - oh how the tables have turned! What I came to find over time was that Kerry was actually there to help me reach my full potential and it has been this way on both ends ever since. Kerry in his spare time is developing a framework for musicians through the idea of Electronic Press Kit funnels otherwise known as EPK's. Pre-COVID you might have found Kerry on stage as a hype man to his right-hand man, Skippa2times. Kerry's goal with musicians is to help them distribute their material for promotional purposes. When Kerry is not helping musicians you may find him in the realm of his brand of "We Give 110." With We Give 110 he is looking to help people implement a worthwhile routine that will push people's vision forward on a daily basis. You can learn more about We Give 110 by going to wegive110.com. Aside from that Kerry also has a podcast of his own called: Gata Bunch, where he is looking to help people have the tough conversations with themselves that it takes to move the needs forward. You can find out more about his podcast by going to gatabunch.com. If you want to find Kerry on Social Media you can go to: -Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wegive110 -Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wegive110/ Do you like the Wheelchair Warrior Project? W.W.P. Episode #003 (with Andrew Perez)
Welcome to the third interview of the Wheelchair Warrior Project! In interview #3 I sit down with Andrew Perez and I have to say this is probably the funniest interview yet! Andrew has an interesting perspective of questions around those in a wheelchair from his line of work which will make for a good time. You will slowly start to understand why we keep Andrew in our circle... he is always here to give you a good laugh. Andrew likes long walks on the beaches of Washington, long runs in the pouring rain chasing after a dog that is trying to run away in the dead of night, and photography. So if you need your dog tracked down in the pouring rain or if you have a special occasion that needs a great photo session then he is your man! The Introduction to Andrew Perez (W.W.P. Episode #003)
On this episode of the Wheelchair Warrior Project I am delighted to introduce to you Andrew Perez. Andrew came around when my wife and I first moved to Washington. That is right, he gets the trophy of being my first friend here in the great PNW! Honestly, Andrew is a joy to listen to simply because he is such a free spirited person and really doesn't care too much about what others think of him. This paved the way for an awesome interview of laughs and random times of really understanding what it is like to be in the mind of Andrew Perez. In Andrew's spare time he is busy behind a camera that has become his right hand man proving his photographic skills. Though Andrew isn't really present on Social Media there is one place you can find him and that is Instagram (one day I will convince him to bring forward an awesome offer to showcase his skills to all of you.) You also might find Andrew in the woods at late hours in the night, in the pouring rain, chasing dogs... On this episode of the Wheelchair Warrior Project I am delighted to introduce to you Matthew van der Merwe. Matthew came into my life just about a year ago after I extended some tech support with his sales funnel in a Facebook Group. My first impression of Matthew is wow this guy looks just like Dan Henry! The funny thing is my impression of Matthew definitely didn't change he still looks like Dan Henry to me! hahaha On a serious note though, what I had come to find is that Matthew is such a kind soul and is always here to help, you see this radiating through everything he does. What to Expect From the Wheelchair Warrior Project (First Episode out September 21st)
Having been in a wheelchair for almost 24 years, it just has become the norm for me. Though living life in a wheelchair is normal for me, what I have noticed is it's definitely an elephant in the room for those around me. The truth is, most of the people I come in contact with I can tell have some questions about what life is like for me as a wheelchair user, but they just don't know how to ask it, or if they should! What would be a good time to ask burning questions of this nature - I am sure your mind tells you that the answer is never! This is why I wanted to do what I can to give you a safe space to ask anything that is on your mind involved with my day to day life. While some of these questions may not be the easiest to let out, the answers are finally there for you to discover once and for all! I mean you can ask absolutely anything... Are you ready?
