Recorded 9.18.18 - Chicago, IL - 606 Bloomingdale Trail This is a test of concept of producing face-to-face, initiated interviews with strangers, recorded from the SE Discord server from which I was broadcasting live via my iPhone (in this case my Airpods--yet, I am planning to upgrade soon to using handheld microphones to capture high quality audio), and completely edited via my iPhone.  This is a low quality recording, specifically Jordan is difficult to hear, but is proof of concept that audio-only interviews can be produced entirely from an iPhone while simultaneously broadcasting to and chatting with folks on a Discord server. In this chat, Jordan and I cover some possibilities for how the universe could have been created and how he has ruled out those other possibilities. He said he 'doesn't know' how he did that. If that's the case, how does he know the universe was created?

Reid practices how to have better conversations centered around what people really think is true. As a hobby Reid goes out to various public parks and interviews people about what they believe and why. The conversational method Reid practices is called street epistemology. It's "a dialectical approach intent on helping people reflect on the reliability of the methods used to arrive at deeply-held beliefs". Its core values include being open and willing to revise your beliefs on the basis of evidence, listening to understand, and keeping a positive and friendly rapport. Reid's goal is to promote these values by showing real-world examples and to hopefully inspire others to do the same.
