Best Time of the Year
On this weeks episode we discuss it all because all sports are running and this is literally the best time of the year for sports. We started with the WNBA and how they are currently in their playoffs and we are down to the 4 remaining teams. Diana Taurasi is playing and letting you know why she is the GOAT. If you have not been watching please make sure you are tuning to watch excellent basketball. Next we discussed Ja Morant and his stipulations that he wants in order for him to participate in the NBA Dunk contest during All Star. Now we agree that the contest needs a new lineup of judges but Ja receiving 1mil in order to compete is a reach. We then move on to Ben Simmons and all of the drama surrounding him during this offseason. Its a lot of drama that doesn't need to be the center of attention right before the start of the season. The NBA also has some covid vaccine protocols in place but not many. Players are not required to be vaccinated but depending on where you play if you aren't vaccinated you won't be getting paid for games played in certain cities. Lastly we give a huge shoutout to the STL Cardinals on making the MLB playoffs!

On this weeks episode we gave a recap of the Summer 2020 Olympics that took place in Tokyo. This years games were a lot different due to Covid and families nor fans were allowed at the events but Tokyo still put out an amazing two weeks worth of events for the athletes. We discussed everything from swimming, to gymnastics, to track & field to basketball. We must say that Team USA did struggle a bit and a lot of medals may not have been what the athletes or even us as fans would have thought but ultimately they fought hard and each medal won was well earned. USA Basketball brought home gold medals in Women's 3x3 and also in women's and mens basketball. The men competed for their 4th straight gold medal while the women competed for their 7th with Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi competing for their 5th straight olympic gold medal. NBA Finals & Team USA in Trouble?!
On this weeks episode we continue discussing the NBA finals between the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks. The series is currently tied 2-2 but whoever wins Game 5 can see a sense of momentum changing and could have the upper hand in winning the championship. She will not be able to participate in the 100m event but still has a chance to participate in the relay. Drew and myself agreed that we do not like the suspension BUT we also understand that they Olympic committee has rules and she broke them. Regardless we will not crucify her and she has a chance to be greater because she is already great.
