We interviewed Chris Adeney (Wax Mannequin) live at Vangelis Tavern in Saskatoon, SK. Chris has been touring as Wax Mannequin for over a decade and a half. If you've seen him perform you likely talked about it for a few weeks afterwards - they tend to be kind of intense experiences.    

Dean boldly went to the Ness Creek Music Festival for the first time ever with Brendan Flaherty and recorded his trip star log style. 

Weirdo Magnets recorded some audio at the second week of Girls Rock Camp Saskatoon. Laura Jane Beach is a weirdo who grew up in Ontario and has lived and gone to school and worked and made music in Toronto and Montreal and Yellowknife and other places, most recently, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She's an exuberant artist that definitely impacted the local music scene in a way most would describe as 'positive'. She's on many albums that were recorded here. We interviewed the Miss Universe Canada contestant Morvarid Akhgar this week.  Morv was born in Shiraz, Iran but lives in Saskatoon now. She plays a lot of soccer, rides a motorcycle, and travels a lot - basically she is way cooler than Dean combined with even Dana. She uses her platform to raise awareness about mental health issues in Canada and works to destigmatize those conversations in our country. We interviewed the two founding Seahags for our thirty-third episode - April and Riki! the other band members are also great - Kayla, Lauren, Brenda, and Joanna - and you can hear most of them at a Seahags practice at the beginning of the episode (minus Lauren.) Josh Rohs organized Saskatoon's 2016 edition of National Drone Day at Paved Arts on May 28. We talked to some of the artists involved. Music heard in this episode was recorded live at drone day. Tyson McShane is the founder / lead singer/ plays the guitar in Slow Down, Molasses, the Saskatoon band that used to play indie-folk but now tours the world playing loud shoegaze rock music.
