In this special edition podcast, members of OmniGamer’s staff (and special guest Draco) discuss how to define a JRPG, share their experiences with many different JRPGs, and the debate rages on as to which console possesses the richest JRPG lineup. Draco (@DracoTBM) provides an argument for the sleeper console, the Xbox 360, and claims that the console’s JRPG lineup was quite impressive. He also provides a side argument for the GameCube because hey, why not?! Jordan (@1337Atreyu) sends out an argument for the PlayStation 2, citing the console’s absolutely immense library as a perfect way to get completely lost in the genre. Michael (@NEGtronZero) argues that the Super Nintendo/Super Famicom sent a massive jolt of imagination through both the developer and the player, and truly classic JRPGs were the result. Glenn (@Vagrant_Gaming) dishes out his support for the original PlayStation, claiming that the console shot the genre into the realm of 3D with spectacular results.
