Artist Tori Sepulveda, Kayaking in Baja, Author Elizabeth Day
Wendy opens the show describing the Pueblo Magico of Todos Santos, located 50 miles north of Cabo San Lucas and 50 miles southwest of Baja’s capital, La Paz, on the Sea of Cortez. Todos Santos, a charming historic fishing village, is located right on the Tropic Of Cancer, and has attracted many artists, chefs, and musicians who have made it their home. On this week’s show Wendy’s guest is artist and teacher, Tori Sepulveda, whose works are collected by patrons all over the world. The Artists of Todos Santos regularly hold their “Meet the Artist” series and Wendy recorded Tori’s entertaining and inspiring talk this past week. After that, Wendy reports on new findings about how coffee can protect your eyes and do a great deal for your overall health.
In Building Your Spanish Oscar Rosales teaches Wendy how to use the expression,”A gatos”. Then Bryan Jauregui of Todos Santos Eco Adventures tells us all about the kayaking trips they offer. In Our Sexual Health Dr. Ruth talks about whether porn can help or hurt a relationship. Wendy then interviews author and Todos Santos resident Elizabeth Day, whose wonderful book, Living With Gusto, was recently released. This week’s question for the Girls of Girl Talk is “in what ways do they think Mexican men are different”. Wendy closes the show with thoughts about artists and teachers, quoting John Steinbeck and Maya Angelou.
