In Building Your Spanish, the lesson is learning how to use the expression, “A machina”. And the question posed to the Girls of Girl Talk is if Hugh Hefner came to dinner, what would they ask him? I close the show with my personal tribute to rocker Joe Cocker…who passed this week from lung cancer. He was one of my favorites and I hope you’ll enjoy hearing bits of his life and music.

Living the Good Life In Baja
Interested in what expat life is like in a Baja fishing village that’s become home to many artists, musicians, writers and chefs? Tune in to Weekend With Wendy every week!  Since Cat 4 Hurricane Odile whipped through Todos Santos last month, I thought it helpful to talk to an insurance agent for some tips about filing homeowners insurance claims after a hurricane. I will then be talking to Jose Antonio Marquez, Director of the Selva Negra Foundation, founded by the very popular Mexican rock group Mana, and through their generosity together with the TS chapter of Wildcoast, we distributed tons of food to families of a particular barrio that was hit hard by Odile. I also have a great interview with Kim Ina, head of Sports for the World’s Children Foundation, based in San Francisco. They provide all sorts of sports equipment for baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis and even boxing equipment to many different countries’ cities and towns where the families can’t afford these things. I grabbed her while she was in TS.  Today’s Escape is all about Todos Santos Eco Adventure’s sea turtle camp, and Debra Dodson of Prudential Cabo Gold Realty tells us about one of her favorite beach front listings in the Blue Sea development in Cabo, a gated community of 9 luxury homes. In Building Your Spanish, learn with me how to use the expression “A mi modo de pensar” and the Girls of Girl Talk dish about the most scared they’ve ever been.
