Walid Shaharul is a Brooklyn based artist that is a self-taught painter from Queens. He recently had his first solo exhibition put on by the homies over at the art collective, Roosi entitled ‘Safe Space’ at Synesthesia. Walid’s figures have distorted faces which reminds you of Francis Bacon. We don’t eat bacon because we’re about that muslim lifestyle. Except for prosciutto and pepperoni. This is a safe space, no one needs to know about your harams or habibis. But no really, his show “Safe Space” brings out the bright and attractive backdrops along with bright colors that provide positive and joyful feelings of each of their figures. Please welcome Walid Shaharul.

Geoff is our first Wear Many Hats listener that plugged us in and wanted to be on the pod. Geoff is often mistaken as a furniture designer for all the chairs he puts on Ig but no it's because we like to sit our asses down on some nice comfy seats. And also have a deep appreciation for chairs. People often like to post fit pics such as myself, he likes to post pictures of rare books, zines, and vintage punk tees. Here we are learning how you can teach an illustration class but can't draw. Ep 36 // Eunice Chun & Justin Mariano
We have Justin Mariano and Eunice Chun from the very first Wear Many Hats episode coming back on to do an exclusive “Where ya at” episode. This is very exciting because a lot has changed since 2018 and I mean a lot. Justin was a flower boy no Tyler although we saw Tyler, the creator at the Garden in 2019 and that was the last time he worked as a flower dealer at the Canal Street Market and also did flowers for our Dahsar Commercial Type release. Eunice was slinging coffee at city of saints which I somehow still get at Foster Sundry shout out to Hannah and was an assistant at the Gagosian Gallery. They’ve all grown into big hotshots now that it was so hard to track these guys down. Ones on Instagram the other is not. I had to slide into ones DMs to get to and surprisingly it wasn’t Eunice’s. I was so glad to have them back on the show, welcome back Justin Mariano and Eunice Chun. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/wearmanyhats/support
