 When the world is black and white, there is no room for careful consideration and/or nuance, you are either on the team or off it. This worldview (Manicheanism) was on display in several high profile stories this week. The cancel mob came for (clearly "evil") Ivan Provorov for refusing to fly the rainbow colors. Chief Covid Cult propagandist, Leana Wen, admits something David and Dane discussed in real time throughout covid: that the covid deaths could be inflated because there were massive incentives to do so, and this ("evil" admission) drives CNN anchors nuts. Sam Harris continued to lose his shit, for the second time musing about the deaths of children so he can be validated in his Trump Derangement Syndrome and ("evil" vaxx refusers).

 One of the premier medical institutions (Harvard) in the world doubles down on its "fetuses and/or infants can be transgender and they know it" agenda; now teaching pediatric medical students how to "treat" transgender infants. Moderna is developing a new shot to "fix" problems potentially caused by its other shots. And, the opinion molders want you to know Biden's mishandling of classified documents is nothing like Orange Man Bad's. Tired of all the scare quotes? Us too. Maybe the regime apparatchiks should try being honest rather than forcing their agenda down our throats with 1984-style double-speak. We won't hold our collective breath though.

The new year is quickly reminding us that the more things change the more they stay the same. The Manichean temptation is alive and well in 2023. Whether one pretends that their justification for forced medical procedures was done out of love, and everyone else was motivated by evil, they embrace a platform infested with child pornography to escape "rich man bad," or they become the very thing they swore to oppose because they aren't getting their way, seeing the world as black and white leads to predictably poor behavior and conclusions. Perhaps nowhere was this more apparent this week than in the way RINO/Neocons like Patches McCain (Dan Crenshaw) treated and spoke about their Republican colleagues for holding out on the House Speaker vote for Kevin McCarthy. Patches is a repeat Manichean offender, getting worse by the day.

Happy New Year! 2023 kicks off right where 2022 left off: rampant government incompetence and malfeasance, with a dash of grandstanding from some of its worst actors like Congressman Kinzinger. The ATF doesn't think you're responsible with guns and wants to take them away, and they're going to show you how right they are by being monumentally irresponsible/stupid with guns, then destroying the evidence of their crimes. Newly declassified CIA documents suggest stronger connections between it and JFK assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, than it has ever admitted to, but you're the bad guy for asking follow-up questions. And, as Covid vaccination injuries mount, it's only a matter of time before the Branch Covidians swear they knew the pharmaceutical industrial complex was up to no good the whole time. Let's laugh (to keep from crying) our way through 2023.

Career nincompoop, Robert Reich, keeps regurgitating the tired, demonstrably false trope that corporate greed, rather than government spending and Fed money printing, is the cause of inflation. Elon bans leftist journalist Twitter accounts. And, the long-time US war propaganda rag, Washington Post, chastises Russia for sending soldiers to war and ignoring the mental damage they come back with. The lesson we can take from all of this is that those who always claim to know better are never short of real or imagined monsters to slay because a close examination of their own malfeasance is something they cannot allow. But hey, there is good news this week! Humanity achieved fusion ignition, a potential breakthrough answer to long-term clean, safe energy production. A glimmer of light in the darkness!

Is it any wonder that a society which allows blatant double standards to persist about which groups of people you can denigrate and dehumanize with impunity, also allows its political machine to arbitrarily decide to prosecute its political foes for essentially nothing while letting its friends get away with the largest crimes in human history? Although this is no longer surprising to any of us, the broken nature of this society isn't even the worst/most dangerous part. The most dangerous part is that the society is so blinded by every distraction from race baiting to blatant hypocrisy on all sides, too many don't see the fast encroaching tyranny meant to fully and finally enslave us all. Everybody wants something for nothing. Blackrock wants to irresponsibly invest your money on the basis of irrelevant metrics like whether the companies they invest in are sufficiently on board with the climate change or social cause agendas, without facing backlash when investors object. Big tech wants to profit off your data by selling it to third parties and government wants to spy on you with that data in blatant violation of the U.S. Constitution. And, the U.S. Women's National Team wants half of what they didn't earn of the U.S. Men's National Team successes at the World Cup because #equality. A society that continues to reward this behavior is not long for this world.

The overarching lesson of political economy is that if power is for sale, the unscrupulous power whores will spare no expense (or personal embarrassment... if they were capable of feeling shame) to buy it. This is the fundamental truth about the form and function of government, as well as the nature of the human beings who seek control over it, which once understood, helps to remove the scales from the eyes of the common man who labors under the yoke that government places upon them, about the promises of self-serving government parasites. The examples in this week's lesson consist of hypocrisy about campaign ad spend in Arizona, the history of politicians promising one thing and delivering another, and the FTX meltdown that was orchestrated to expand government power over decentralized currency. A Connecticut town, primarily its local Starbucks workers, learns the "might makes right" lesson that has always motivated democracy. As cynical race-baiters have known since Colonial America, if you can keep the ruled divided among arbitrary lines like race it becomes a lot easier to gain and maintain power. And, the White House is going after Elon, again, this time on "national security" grounds over his purchase of Twitter because when you never have to explain yourself and your fascistic grabs for power/control, why would you? Add a few more things to the list, along with death and taxes, that you can count on in life. Every 2-4 years: (1) the election is "the most important of our lifetimes" (it never is); (2) libertarians and their "Schrodinger votes" are to blame for whoever loses; (3) nonsense prevails over common sense; and (4) things will get progressively worse. The Twitter "blue checks" are losing their minds over having to pay $8/mo to keep their unearned, worthless credential; the "Right" is to blame for every deranged lunatic; and the Covid Cultists want forgiveness for being scumbags to millions of people for the last 2+ years. The complete lack of self-awareness from these people is truly a wonder of the modern world.

The rulers have never cared for the ruled, but now they are also ok with rubbing it in your face. They will force radical degeneracy opinions, like acceptance of pedophilia, on you; be as blatantly hypocritical as possible by openly asking a foreign power to interfere in U.S. elections after spending the last 6+ years complaining about the other side doing just that; and/or dance while you exercise your right to redress your grievances with them. In light of all this, if you're still clinging to the naive delusion that they are just flawed, but dutiful public servants, we don't know what to tell you anymore. You're not paying attention.

As far as the regime is concerned, consistency is NOT key. Harvard Children's Hospital has claimed that even fetuses know they are transgender, despite the fact that many "experts" at that establishment also likely believe that those same fetuses are nothing more than a disposable clump of cells. Although Florida continues to fight the good fight for medical freedom, big pharma and their "fact checking" mouthpieces can't keep their story straight about whether their vaccines stopped Covid or not. Finally, in the biggest inconsistency of all, the Alex Jones kangaroo court, show trial that resulted in an absurd nearly $1 billion award to Sandy Hook families is all the proof you need that hallmarks of western societies for over 800 years, like due process, are dead and gone if you run afoul of the regime. But, who needs consistency or principles when you are full-blown 1984 making it up as you go along and can jail or cancel anyone who calls you out on it?

Incentives, they matter. We sound like a broken record at this point, but that's only because just about everyone refuses to learned this lesson. In Italy, the left is learning that if you sell out your countrymen to overbearing, global elites that could care less about your countrymen's lowering standards of living, someone might come along (Giorgia Meloni) who they are highly incentivized to vote for. Incentives do most of the critical thinking leg-work in figuring out who had the most to gain in sabotaging the Nordstream Pipeline (hint: it isn't Russia). And, finally, incentives, particularly a lack of accountability, explain why Fauci got rich(er) during covid, why unaccountable bureaucracies like NIH don't care what you (the taxpayer) think about how it allocates its $45B budget; and why refusing to punish these bad actors always bears more of the same outcomes. In this episode we discuss the fact that the Twitter blue checks want you to know that Trump is basically Hitler 2.0, but also that you're probably a fascist if you think the 2nd Amendment protects your right to a gun to protect against him. For them, there is no contradiction in these ideas, so apparently, you're supposed to just get on the train car without a fight. We muse at the fact that even Chase bank, yes one of the major elitist players in the US financial system, recognizes that the IRS is a fraudulent organization. And, why Chairman Powell and the Federal Reserve system always get their economic "cures" wrong, because their diagnoses, informed by the lunacy that is Keynesian economic theory, always misdiagnose the problem. Brace yourselves folks, they're about to throw 1.3 million of you out of a job.

The clown show continues... World football/soccer star, Cristiano Ronaldo, is being canceled for taking a picture with Jordan Peterson, while the Epstein buddies remain un-cancelable. Biden says he's in complete control, and declares the Covid pandemic over, while his cognition and "Covid team" suggest otherwise. Let us inject a little sanity into the situation for you.

Hypocrisy is the order of the day. DeSantis flying immigrants to Martha's Vineyard exposes bleeding heart liberals and their "sanctuary cities" to be not so compassionate, and not so sanctuary-ey when they are faced with the direct consequences of the policies they champion. IRS agents, who spend a career running the state's extortion machine, skip out on paying the piper themselves. And, Dan Crenshaw cowers behind other veterans rather than answer directly for his America Last voting record, which sends young men and women to die for nothing and milks American taxpayers for the benefit of other countries. The one thing we can count on political actors to be consistent in is their hypocrisy.

The powerful, elites, and their hordes of "useful idiots" are trying to provoke you into a response that turns the masses against your demands for freedom from the growing government threat, or simply provides them a pretext to bring down their iron fist as soon as practicable. Don't fall for it. The mistake of taking the bait has been repeated too often throughout history, each time with poor outcomes for those who allow their passions to overcome their judgment. Let Biden keep bombastically claiming your AR-15 is no match for the government's F-15s. Let celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Kathy Griffin keep stirring the pot for their political overlords. And, let government's themselves keep overplaying their hand, all around the world. Each time, they lose more and more popular support, and we (those who demand liberty) gain ground in the hearts and minds of our fellow men and women, who yearn for freedom.
