Episode 74 – Blogpost Series -Are You a Good Training Partner?
In This Podcast, Host Jonathan Fader goes over a blog post series written by Evan Jex, titled Are you a good Training Partner? Jon adds his commentary to this series on an important topic that is how to train with other people for martial arts. While Martial Arts is inherently individualistic/solo the reality is your progress is often a matter of how good your training partners are. If no one wants to train with you because you are "that person" in the gym then you are actually harming your progress the most because you actually aren't a good training partner. Evan was also on Episode 64 as a guest. www.utkmblog.com www.utkmu.com www.urbantacticskm.com The post Episode 74 – Blogpost Series -Are You a Good Training Partner? first appeared on Urban Tactics Krav Maga.

Episode 73 – Kip Warner is part of a group suing the BC Government over Covid-19 Policy
Kip Warner is part of a group called the Canadian Society for the Advancement of Science in Public Policy, which has currently filed a class-action lawsuit against the Provincial Government of British Columbia regarding their COVID-19 Policies. Kip has a BSc from UBC in computer sciences with a focus on Artificial intelligence and has even found himself working with groups like NASA. He spent time in the Canadian Armed Forces, finishing as an officer at a time when it was no longer a good fit for him. Additionally, he learned various classical European sword styles to broaden his combat knowledge. In this podcast, we discuss the legal action against the government (but due to ongoing litigation our discussion was limited), his veganism, science and technology, environmentalism, martial arts, military service, and our general thoughts and philosophies. The goal of this podcast was to show you who KIP is as there have already been attempts to smear his personal character publicly as he garners a lot more support than certain groups would like. Episode 45 – Terrance Kosikar and John Sambo
Mr. John Sambo asked us a while ago to plan a podcast with Terrance J. Kosikar founder of Camp My way. After hearing about the camp we of course agreed. John Sambo is a powerlifter & Strength athlete, bobsledder, musician and an all around great guy. Terrance was the first responder who attended the Fatal accident that occurred at the 2010 winter Olympics and subsequently developed PTSD or PTS Injury as Terrance prefers. This caused a downwards spiral mentally which eventually lead to his self-isolation out near Lillooet BC. This gave him the ability to heal and subsequently found Camp my way a place dedicated to helping First responders and recovering drug addicts recover from PTS. Terrance is also helping get legislation pushed in BC to address this increasing problem of first responder suicide by getting them the help they need sooner. See information on this Bill here. UTKM is proud to help promote this non-partisan cause and support Camp My way to grow and achieve its goals. You can support Terrance by donating via his website at Campmyway.com or by using his #itsnotweaktospeak which can also be found on the website itsnotweaktospeak.com.
