How To Recognize Symptoms of a Heart Attack
Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes, or that goes away and comes back. It can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain. Symptoms can include pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach. 40% of heart attacks in this country are silent, meaning there are no warnings. When plaque builds up in the heart and then breaks free, it blocks blood from getting to the heart and causes a heart attack. Munaf Shamji, MD is here to discuss heart attacks. He gives life saving information on symptoms and what you should do if you think you may be having a heart attack.
