Your marriage can be a ‘Sign & Wonder’ to the world around you. In Ephesians 5, we learn that marriage mysteriously points to the love Christ has for the church and when done well, marriage can be part of your ministry. This sermon will discuss the incredible value Christ placed on women and marriage, as well as share some practical tips on what this looks like in our everyday lives.

‘The infinite value of ‘knowing Christ’.’ Paul wrote these words because Jewish believers were trying to convince early converts that they only knew part of the Gospel. Contrary to Paul, they taught that it was salvation plus external efforts that offered salvation, not ‘Christ Alone.’ This beautiful passage in Philippians 3 reaffirms Paul’s stance and our theology today: everything is worthless in comparison to knowing Christ.

It's easy to spot darkness in our fallen world, but there doesn't seem to be much consensus on what to do about it. Arguing & complaining are all too common, even among Christians. But the Apostle Paul said we should shine like bright lights in the middle of the darkness.

Jeff starts a new series in Philippians by exploring the phrase: “Live as Citizens of Heaven.” Paul, the writer of Philippians, gives a number of directives on what this can look like. As believers, if we apply these timeless truths to our walk with Christ we are sure to experience more of the Kingdom in our lives together.

‘There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.’ These words from Jesus only stay words until we realize that He paid the ultimate sacrifice for our eternal friendship. Because Jesus demonstrated this great love and showed us that true friendship requires sacrifice, we can ask ourselves this meaningful question: How can I sacrifice for my friends? We all have ‘Christmas Traditions.’ They might include foods, seeing relatives, opening presents, or special desserts. But one tradition that has continued on for over 2000 years is the celebration of Christ’s birth. As we gather, we are joining millions of others before us who have celebrated the birth of Christ and the promises of our newborn King. Jeff continues our series by looking at one of the cultural lies of our day: ‘You have unlimited power and unlimited potential.’ When connected to Christ, the human heart is capable of amazing things - but even the most capable person is still incredibly limited, especially when compared to our unlimited God. Even more fascinating, Jesus Christ ‘limited’ His power while on earth… What does His example mean for us and what does it teach us about the cross?

Jeff & Natalie start a new series exploring what the birth of Christ can teach us about our human limits, God’s infinite power, and our role in the Kingdom. Listen in as we explore a few questions like: What does it mean to live within limits? What happens if we don’t? And how can embracing our limits help us worship God?

God wants you to become a wise person so that you can live your best life for Him. How do I do that? We want to learn a lesson from the Parable of the 10 Virgins. Five were wise and five were foolish. Which are you!

As we continue our series, Jeff looks at what happens when a people group (The Ephesians) encounter the living and powerful God. After some ‘unusual miracles’ were experienced in Ephesus, the people’s response included burning anything that kept them from being fully devoted to God. This begs a lot of questions but one stands out: ‘What do you need to burn in the fireplace of devotion?’

Jeff continues our series by gathering us around ‘The Fireplace of Denial.’ Peter’s denial of Christ is one of the more tragic moments in Peter’s life and from this passage we can ask a lot of questions: What lead up to his denial? How can we avoid making these mistakes? And mostly importantly, how does Jesus respond to me when I falter or turn away myself? Like Peter, may we always know that a denial of Christ doesn’t mean we have to be done with God.
