Podcast 17- My Hero
Landon Donovan to Coach MLS Homegrown VS Mexico U-20 -Needs to prove he is a competent to coach. -Possible move to coach USMNT? Kei Kamara traded to New England revolution Revolution is in 8th place with 10 points. They have plenty of midfield talent with the likes of Lee Nguyen, Diego Fagundez and Kelyn Rowe, but what the Revs don't have is a player like Ethan Finlay who can provide steady service from the wings to capitalize on Kamara's aerial dominance. Kei Kamara played american college soccer and moved to play for the MLS in 2006 for Coulmbus and played for 3 other MLS teams before returning to the crew in 2015. Kei had a short loan spell in Norwich City in 2013 in the premier league and in second division team Middlesbrough where he scored 4 goals in 41 games In 2015 Kei scored 22 goals with a total of 26 in the playoffsDon Garber says that the MLS would benefit from more Mexican Players -”I  can tell you that 30 to 35 percent of MLS' fan-base is Hispanic," Garber said. "That is bigger than any other pro league in America. - Garber stated that he didn't know whether a move for Carlos Vela --linked with a move to Colorado Rapids as early as last October -- would be possible this summer, but ruled out Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez joining MLS anytime in the immediate future. "We're trying to capture the heart and soul of the U.S. Hispanic, who is still very connected to home and has their favorite club in Mexico," he said. "We need to earn their trust and earn their respect."David Beckham's MLS stadium plan supported by majority of Miami-Dade voters -Fifty-seven percent of the 600 registered Miami-Dade voters surveyed said that they support Beckham’s plan to build a stadium in the Overtown neighborhood. Thirty-five percent opposed the plan, while eight percent had no opinion -“This polling is consistent with the fact that Miami is home to some of the most passionate fans in soccer, and that the community’s support for an MLS team runs deep,” Beckham’s group, Miami Beckham United (MBU), said in a statement to the Herald. “Our Miami Beckham United partners are working hard to give the people of Miami what they want: a world-class, privately-financed stadium in Overtown and a soccer club that makes Miami proud.” - MBU announced in March that they had acquired approximately six acres of land for a projected nine-acre stadium site. The remaining three acres currently house a truck depot owned by Miami-Dade County. Zlatan Ibrahimovic
