One Really Strong Meat Hammer vs A Bag Of Dicks
Adam and jason are back to talk music. Jeffrey joins and the conversation kicks into overdrive. We plan on checking out some great independent Metal. Punk. Rock. and more. Promoting indie artists is what we did for years and we are back to do it again. Sorry for the tech issues. We kind of desided to play them in studio through links that we shared in the moment. We do plan on creating a list so it will become more seemless but today we wanted to chill about it and have fun listening sharing and rocxking out while the music played, Hybrid Enemy - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2SVW0VqQYc7ecC4-XGrYIwDavid Lyons - https://www.youtube.com/user/daveylyon24If I Die First- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr0I4erQ6i4FRqL7iyJgcDARed Soaking Wet- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt31E4OpZtlo_S25NLEG2Bg

An Evening With Kai Rogers
Kai Rogers From Brookfield Ohio Kai is a 17 year old phenom from Onio. He takes his craft as seriously as any musician I've ever had a chance to talk with. Sit back and enjoy this one. The music is loud simple sounding but full of inspiration drawn from tons of experiance that Kai has managed to pick into a few short years. We discussed a lot more then we planned and admittedly I let this one run way longer then I should have. This kid has an old soul a great ear and a knowledge of music that should be but isn't beyond him. You're probably going to want to check out the full length interview on YouTube because plenty of interesting conversation was left on the cutting room floor here. Raw interview content http://youtu.be/N-T61kDbS1o Songs discussed in this podcast Someone Dies Tonight, Exes For Eyes, Outer Space, Keep On Rollin. Preformed live and in studio Universally. Tire Iron The Band Josh Brandt: Drums Ian Peck: Bass Kris Chinery: Lead Guitar Andrew Dugan: Vocals Find DuCru on Band camp http://ducru.bandcamp.com/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/ducruband iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/around-the-bend/id1014797387 Soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/ducru Since 2012, DUCRU has been carefully piecing together the story of their musical career. Through their music, the composition of their lifelong friendship breathes a cohesive tone. The band dives through long delicate bridges before it hits an explosion of honest sounding rock music that has its own authentic character. DUCRU is on a mission to revive rock music from its dirty organic roots and bring it out of the commercial gutter that it’s been in for the past decade. In 2013 DUCRU released their first album “A Language Apart”, which was produced/mixed by The Mars Volta/At The Drive-In sound engineer, Matt Bittman. The album received rave reviews nationally across various press outlets and received national airplay on Internet and FM radio. The band played at most of the venues in Baltimore and also Main Street Music Festival in 2014. “Around The Bend” is the band’s latest release (2015). It was tracked LIVE in Wright Way Studios of Baltimore, MD in the summer of 2014 and mixing/mastering was completed in spring of 2015. It bleeds interesting, twisted guitar tones and interwoven melodies that express the honesty that’s been missing from the Rock genre for quite some time. With less of a pop vibe than “A Language Apart”, the latest release from DUCRU is more mature and sophisticated. The band plans on touring extensively in support of it in fall of 2015. What more needs to be said? These guys are a great band that puts the time and effort into every track. One of my favorite featured bands I finally got the chance to sit down with Andrew, Ian, and Kris in studio to discuss the finer aspects of each song and what it's like to live the band life. For us here at Unsigned Countdown Podcast it's the greatest achievement to find a band like these guys and have the chance to talk candidly with them. While anybody can find and listen to a commercialized band that their friend love, we are searching every day for something more. The Band that is struggling day in and day out to perfect their sound and are putting in the dirty work. Touring, practicing, and working for only the love of music. You might have noticed a bit of a change in the format here. It's intentional and amazing. Free from the shackles of constriction. We are doing now what we love to do. In the coming months and years you will be offered a new way. A podcast broadcast devoted to the promotion, and growth of the Unsigned Independent movement. Through interviews album release episodes, music based conversation, both indie and commercial, and the return of our Bandangout episodes. We will be constently on the hunt for the best people to offer the best insights about the industry you love to struggle in, and we will have a blast doing it. We've always said that we don't do this to be stars, we do this to find them, promote them, and learn from them so that you may find a bit of knowledge that will help you in some aspect of your career. Nephilym-Red Sky constellation-Album Release Party
Red Sky Constellation By: Nephilym In this episode our producer and co-host Jason sits down in studio with guitarist Josh and singer acoustic guitarist Brent from Nephilym to discuss aspects of their new EP release Red Sky Constellation. From lyrics to music creation, conception to birth the guys talk tunes all episode. It's one thing to hear a great tune or like a band or even love a screen. It's another thing to do all of that and then hear the actual band members to explain in detail the meanings of the songs, or where the song originated or more. Why do the guys do what they do? How do they feel about live shows, studio play, and their fans. Find out here. Just like the meaning of its name, Nephilym's Music is a mixture of different musical styles, tastes and directions. Together, the band has a sound that has made it one of the most popular bands in Southeast North Carolina. Nephilym goes from the heaviest of metal sounds to plaintive acoustics, from throat-splitting screams to haunting harmonies and melodies. Their music is moody, mean, sweet and infectious. The band members say it's all represented in the name of the band itself: Nephilym, a name used for the offspring of the sons of God and mortal women, basically translated as "fallen ones". It was the word used to describe the angel/human hybrid that later disappeared in translations of the Bible, but remains in mythologies.
