Unquote #17:Listeners, I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore...
Suicide, HD remakes, and trivia, oh my! This week the Rogue Intel wizard and DJ behind the curtain is Duff! We talk about the Wizard of Oz's long lasting impact and how its up to us to prevent corruption of today's youth.  AFI's Top 100 list has a triple threat quote this episode with numbers #4, #23, and #99. Don't fall asleep in the poppies!

Unquote #16: Go ahead, listen to this podcast...
Greetings fans! Unquote is back this week with #6 on AFI's Top 100 Movie Quotes. Prepare to squint like Clint this week as Dirty Harry takes the quote stage. This week is brief but potent! Also, Unquote will be coming to an end unfortunately. I have had a great time making these episodes and am so thankful for the Rogue Intel Network for hosting my show! Only 4 more episodes until the series finale so stay tuned. This week I talk about: Why you never want to accidentally break and enter somewhere in Colorado, Clint Eastwood's background in politics, and...Reaganomics?

Number 35 on AFI's list is a fish tale of epic proportions!  Will and I talk about Jaws and how being a procrastinator can save your life! Dive in and enjoy!

Unquote #14: Unquote, for lack of a better word, is good
This week is #57 on AFI's list. My guest Patrick and I discuss the almighty dollar, why nickels and dimes scare me, and why we missed out on the early dune buggy investment game. We could've made a killing! Special post roll of Unquote is me listing my top 5 favorite movies!

Unqoute #13: I'll listen to what she's listening!
We're on a roll (or rye bread) this week! My guest Erin and I talk about #33 on AFI's Top 100 Movie Quotes from the romcom "When Harry Met Sally". The 1989 film saw Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan become friends, enemies, and finally lovebirds. The line this week is the only line spoken by a cameo actor; how neat! In this episode Erin and I discuss: Why baby fish mouth should be in Webster's dictionary Reuben and, alternatively, non-Reuben sandwhiches Why I should I always bring a wrench and a spare t-shirt on dates The forthcoming remake of When Harry Met Sally directed by Erin

Unqoute #12: Well, no podcast is perfect!
#48 on AFI's Top 100 Movie Quotes list is Billy Wilder's gender-bending romantic comedy "Some Like It Hot". Its a tale of love, loss, and learning to duck when someone throws cole slaw at you! My mom was a mother on this past Mother's Day so I sat down to talk with her about the movie. In the episode we discuss: Why they should encourage Lemon's cross-dressing acting method How violence and comedy can balance each other out Why my name is *not* Osgood Beanstalk Powers And finally, the travails of imperfect people living in an imperfect world.

Unquote #11: Hasta la vista, listeners!
Welcome back to the Season 2 premiere of Unquote! Arnold the polyglot returns as a Spanish one-line dealing maquina. Brother Ben returns and cousin Adam rejoices!  In this episode we discuss James Cameron's "altruistic" movie making, Adam's undying love and detailed files on the Austrian Oak, origins of the phrase "hasta la vista baby", and my era-specific phonetic shortcomings

Unquote #10: I'm the king of the podcasts!
I can't believe I recorded the whole thing....It's the tenth episode of Unquote! It has been such a fun journey so far and as Season 1 gets buckled up, I buckle down with my friend Kyle and we talk sinking ships and French girl lips. #100 on AFI's list is James Cameron's "Titanic", an epic tale about stern-crossed lovers and a huge lesson in sharing (Rose, we're talking to you and your floating headboard). This episode Kyle and I discuss why this quote was probably the cheesy reason Leo hasn't won an Oscar until now, parallel love story universes, and why Sierra Nevada beer can carry anyone through a 3 hour movie. See you in a few weeks with Season 2 of Unquote!
24 minutes | Mar 29, 2016
Unquote #09: Hey Listener! This podcast has always depended on awesome quotes...
Contrary to popular belief, there isn't a streetcar named "Desire" operating in NOLA...so stop asking! This week is a two-for; #45 and #75 on AFI's list are for discussion between Kali and I. In this episode we discuss: why a Seinfeld episode might've been inspired by this movie, how when you booze you lose, and why Kali and are I through with this crazy thing called love.
28 minutes | Mar 20, 2016
Unquote #08: Listen to Unqoute. Child of the airwaves. What a podcast he makes!
#83 on AFI's Top 100 Movie Quotes list is "Dracula". If you've got any ideas about silly Muppet characters in monocles, rethink your notion of horror! I chat with Brandon this episode about how ladies are wooed by untrimmed fingernails and heavy Romanian accents, accepting one's role as the villain, and I get lawyered by Brandon's insight and wit! You can definitely listen to this one with the light's off and the shades drawn to keep that pesky sunlight out of your way.

Unquote #07: Mother of podcasts...is this end of the quotes?
#73 on AFI's Top 100 Movie Quotes list is "Little Caesar"....no, not the "pizza-pizza" cartoon character on television! I take my ugly mug and fly solo this week for a short and sweet episode.  I hope youse guise enjoy the episode and don't turn out yellow-bellied!
26 minutes | Mar 7, 2016
Unquote #06: Houston, we have a podcast...
#50 on AFI's Top 100 Movie Quotes list is Apollo 13, directed by Ron Howard. My guest Patrick gives me an out-of-this-world interview filled with great view points and tales from the sky. We discuss the hazards of operating on a shoestring budget, confuse Ed Harris with Ed Helms (the 'Nard Dog in Mission Control), more rants about Bill Paxton, and lastly about how similar Fred Haise and I are (we share the same hometown and both throw up occasionally)!
25 minutes | Feb 28, 2016
Unquote #05: Take your stinking paws off this quote!
#66 on AFI's top 100 movie quotes list is Planet of the Apes.  Moses (Charlton Heston) attends a really weird space camp and winds up partying with monkeys. My dad is an excellent philosopher and added his insights to Unquote this episode. We discussed what it meant to see the film for the first time with social strife and potential political upheaval surrounding the world. My dad's favored quote about a madhouse describes 9 out of the 10 situations he and my mom dealt with raising me and my siblings. Finally, we question whether or not we can break the cycle of destructive behavior of man; lest we all be doomed to wear loincloths in the future. -Music provided by bensound.com

Unquote #04: This podcast will be back...
Arnold silently leads the charge for wearing sunglasses at night with no eyebrows. In this episode I digitally conversed with my brother about choosing actors that fit "the Bill" in a movie, Austrian phonetics, fictional laser pointers, Linda Hamilton's hair, and comparing Schwarzenegger to The Beatles discography. Crossover song to be titled "We Can Work Out"
18 minutes | Feb 14, 2016
Unquote #03: I feel the need...the need for a podcast!
Ace flier Pete "Maverick" Mitchell bros out with Goose and Iceman this week, just in time for Valentine's Day. I digitally conversed with my sister in this episode and we covered Tom Cruise becoming an adult, Kelly McGillis's hair, how important my birth was in dissolving the U.S.S.R. and substitute quotes from the movie that could've made the list.

Unquote #02: The luckiest quote on the face of the earth!
I fly solo today, but grab a ballcap, some crackerjack, and your headphones for this week's podcast that touches on nationalism and cultural sentiment. Lou Gehrig was a terrific ballplayer no one would argue, but he stood out among the crowd with his down to earth attitude and humility. Even facing down a terrible disease, he was made a model of fortitude and captured a nation's heart.

Unquote #01: May the First (Podcast) Be With You!
Ever wonder why movie quotes make it into daily discourse? Me too! I'm examining the American Film Institutes top 100 movie quotes. Why who said what is my question to answer or, at the very least, entertain answering. This is the premiere episode of "Unquote" and I hope you enjoy listening. This episode: My friend Dan and I discuss why Jar-Jar Binks' dialog didn't rank higher on the list as well why Han Solo was a champ at insincere sincerity. We revert to our younger (relatively) egos to relive the magic of hearing that line for the first time but also to question who could've said something else to replace the line. Ben Kenobi was a major contender as well as the original leather daddy, Darth Vader. Still, there is no denying that, like the Force, the line chosen penetrates and binds us a lot more than we realize.
