054 Are You Celebrating Other Women or Tearing Them Down?
This episode goes live the day after International Women’s Day and as a coach specialising in helping women with their confidence I wanted to focus particularly on women this episode. The theme for this year’s celebration of International Women’s day is embracing equality by, amongst other things, celebrating women forging change, by elevating the visibility of women creatives and by building workplaces where women thrive.  This episode we’re going to explore some of the issues around how we treat each other, especially in the world of work and look at ways that we can make things better – starting with us. Because the only person any of us can truly change is ourselves! I will share five ways we can embrace equality and break the bias against women. 053 How's Your Self-Worth?
Over the last fifty plus episodes we’ve covered lots of topics to help us lead happier, more confident lives so it surprised me when I realised that we have never talked about today’s topic – self-worth. We’ve covered topics related to it but never looked at it on its own so that’s what we’re going to do today. Why? Because in my work with a counsellor after I finished cancer treatment it became apparent that I had a real issue with my self-worth. Embarrassing to admit as a confidence coach but also unsurprising giving what I’d just lived through. It’s also something that comes up regularly in my one-to-one work with clients. In this episode we will examine  What self-worth is How most of us measure it How we should actually measure it How we spot that our self-worth is low and What we can do when our self-worth needs a boost Episodes mentioned: Episode 5 – What would happen if you were kind to yourself? http://bit.ly/3kU9kJ6 Articles mentioned: https://www.betterhelp.com/advice/self-esteem/why-self-worth-matters-and-how-to-improve-it/ https://positivepsychology.com/self-worth/ Work with me: Book a Confidence Jump-start – an hour of powerful coaching followed by a week of support to help you start taking action and create the life you desire. https://mailchi.mp/clarewalshcoaching.com/jump-start-hour https://clarewalshcoaching.com/work-with-me

052 The Importance of Fun to a Happy and Healthy Life
This episode we are focusing on the importance of fun to a happy and healthy life. I was recently asked to consider how I could bring more fun into my life and realised that I was slightly stumped by the question. I struggled to identify how and when I allow myself to have fun. And as usual that got me thinking and noticing, and here we are with an episode devoted to the importance of having fun.  In this episode we are going to explore: what fun is; why it’s so important – what it does for us; the three elements essential for fun; and how we can have more fun. 051 Top Ten Tips for a Happier, More Confident You at Work
This time of year can be hard. Christmas is behind us and it seems a long way off until the clocks go forward and the days begin to get noticeably warmer and lighter. Decades ago a travel company came up with the gimmick of calling the third Monday in January blue Monday – supposedly the most miserable Monday of the year. Gimmick or not I know a lot of us feel a little blue on January Mondays as we head into the new working week. I have to confess that there have been January Mondays when, despite being in a job I loved, I started the day with a little cry at home! With this in mind I decided that this would be a great week for us to focus on being happier at work. So I’m sharing my 10 pretty simple ways for a happier and more confident you at work. Episodes mentioned: Episode 8 – Saying no with confidence and without the guilt https://bit.ly/3CFuCQx Episode 6 – Letting go of perfectionism https://bit.ly/3W2gM1A Episode 12  - How good are you at accepting compliments? 047 The Power of Play to Light You Up
In this episode we’re exploring the power of play to light us up. It’s the beginning of November. The clocks have gone back and the nights are well and truly drawing in and I know that I’m not alone in being tempted to withdraw and hibernate as the weather worsens and the light retreats. But while I know that rest is important and I’m all for a bit of hygge, I also know that I still need to seek daily joy and things that energise and light me up if I want to feel like the best version of myself. The version of myself that has the energy and confidence to grow, thrive and enjoy life.  In this episode we’ll explore  - The benefits of play - What it means to let go and have fun and play - The different play personalities and how play looks different to each of us - The importance of making time for play Have a think about what things are playful to you. Make time to play for being playful and remember that it's okay if the things that are fun and playful to you aren't to everyone else. Get to know yourself on what you enjoy. Encourage those around you to play and have fun to in whatever way is playful for them. See it as part of your self care, giving yourself the time to be playful.  Episodes mentioned: - Episode 42 – Let’s Slow Down This Summer - The Importance and Benefits of Slowing Down https://apple.co/3SOFtxf  Books: - The Gift of Wonder, a book by Christine Aroney-Sine https://amzn.to/3RquRDz  - Play: How It Shapes the Brain, Opens the Imagination, and Invigorates the Soul, a book by Stuart Brown https://amzn.to/3RzgM6S  Email me at : clare@clarewalshcoaching.com Ways to work with me: www.clarewalshcoaching.com

Since there are lots of little gems on my blog to help you to grow confidence, clarity and courage in very concrete ways, I'll also point you to some of my own writing. My Blogs: - It’s the little transformations that make a massive difference “It’s not all about massive transformations, little transformations make a massive difference!”One of my clients said this and it really got me thinking. My client hit the nail on the head.
