Whose Needs Are We Talking About?
In this episode, our hosts Rachael(she/her) and Perrye (she/her) discuss the role of community organizations and institutions in their lives. They also welcome two program coordinators from Project 10 to discuss the strengths and challenges of facilitating community services in Montreal. Project 10 (P10) is a non-profit organization that works to promote the personal, social, sexual, and mental well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirit, intersexed, and questioning youth aged 14-25. P10 has a number of services including advocacy, active listening, and trans health support. They also provide workshops and resources for education, create safer social spaces like Hangouts, and run programs like Our Bodies, Our Stories, which is an arts mentorship program for QTBIPOC youth.
