In this episode, my guest, Anthea Dunks, and I are talking about the book “So Good They Can’t Ignore You” by Cal Newport. Anthea recommended this book to me and after reading it I knew I wanted to talk about it on the podcast, so I asked her to join me! Anthea is one of the coaches in 10k in 10 Hours and the 100K Funnel course and you might also recognize her from her episode on the podcast last year! We are going through each of the four rules outlined in the book and talking about how they apply to coaches building businesses. There are two stacks of skills that you’re building when you start a coaching business: business-building skills and coaching skills. This is a discussion about how to support yourself in both.  Anthea Dunks was a rule follower when it came to coaching. When she was taught a new method of coaching as she pursued her certification as a Life Coach, she wouldn’t even have thought to question it. She was too busy trying to do it "right". It didn't occur to her that there was another way until she completed her Advanced Deep Dive Coaching Certification. In that program, she developed her intuition and learned how to bring that into her coaching to get her clients the best results. That work became the fundamentals of teaching laser-focused coaching in 15 minutes. She works with the best coaches to help them refine their skills to coach quickly and deeply to 10X results for their clients.
