Ironside and his team, including Virgil, Holly and Teddy race the clock to clear the murder of a New York University honor student, before a plea bargain will set a hit man free. In the process, Ironside seeks Gary's expertise, but being back in that mindset could prove too much for him to handle.

Whilst on the trail of a serial killer know as App the Ripper who's been tracking his victims down online, the team narrowly miss their man. Two figures who flee the scene, give them another lead to follow. As they track down the girl, they soon come to realise it's a girl missing from years ago.
