Marcus Meurer wasn't always a digital nomad. His first foray into the world of work was as an online marketing manager at a big company. But after growing increasingly disillusioned with corporate life, he quit in 2012 to start his own business. He's since lived and worked in over 20 countries in the space of three years. Along the way he founded the company Force M and went on a six month trip through South East Asia together with his girlfriend Felicia. And more recently, he's helped organize DNX GLOBAL, the first conference for Digital Nomads. Now he's organizing a series of retreat-style camps in Portugal, Brazil, Thailand and Indonesia. What you'll hear in this podcast: Why he quit the 9 to 5 for a nomadic lifestyle. How working as a digital nomad is getting easier and easier. The emergence of co-working and co-living spaces around the world. 'My advice for people interested in becoming a digital nomad is dig as deep as you can, listen to as many podcasts as you can, read as much as you can and try to connect to people who are already living this lifestyle.'
