#S1 - Episode 3 - Surviving a Brain Tumour and the Inspiration Found in the Journey with Bradley Woodhouse
On this episode I speak to Bradley Woodhouse, the founder of the WELD (Wellbeing, Exercise, Lifestyle, Diet) wellbeing app which allows customers to search for and book group exercise, classes, or personal training sessions with fitness professionals. Brad's journey is a fascinating one. He grew up in South Africa and at the age of 24 he was diagnosed with brain cancer. He was temporarily paralysed after four brain surgeries and during his recovery he also suffered from post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression as well as survivors guilt. With some of the brain tumour still in in his brain, Brad is trying to live a life that he can be proud of.Bradley had to source a number of health professionals throughout his journey and after speaking with many of them, he realised that so many people who worked in the healthcare industry didn't earn what they deserved. Brad wanted to dedicate himself to the health and wellbeing industry in a way that supports the people who provide services. Brad is such an inspiration and it was amazing hearing about his drive and journey.
