Welcome to Smallville! We heard the Kents packed up and left the big city to see what Morgan Edge has in store for Clark’s hometown. Clark and Jordan explore their heritage and learn more about Jordan’s powers. Jor-El seems to think they will amount to nothing, limited by his human DNA. Jonathan heads to school without his brother and struggles to fit in at the new school. The football team has it out for him after his brother kissed Sarah. Lois dives into her research on Morgan Edge and is surprised when he shows up at a town council meeting. She wastes no time and confronts him with the information she found, insisting he does not have Smallville’s best interests in mind. Captain Luthor is determined that Kal-El will turn into the Superman he knows from his planet. He found out General Lane is stockpiling Kryptonite, and he’s trying to convince him that Superman will turn to the dark side and destroy the planet.

At the funeral, the family reconnects with the Cushings and learn that Morgan Edge is interested in Smallville. While the boys explore the barn to reset a router, Jordan falls and brings several metal poles on top of him and his brother. We later learn Jordan shielded his brother and they both survive because his powers are starting to emerge. Meanwhile, Captain Luthor is attacking nuclear power plants and General Lane discovers an inscription in Kryptonian. When he asks Clark to suit-up, Lois tells him his family needs him more. The next day, the boys snoop through the barn looking for clues about their father. They discover an alien ship and confront him. When he admits he’s Superman, they are angry at being lied to their entire lives.  While Clark beats himself up, Luthor attacks another nuclear plant. This time he leaves to confront him. While he’s fighting Luthor, John and Jordan get into a fight of their own that ends with Jordan starting a fire with his laser vision.  After a family chat, Clark and Lois decide to stay in Smallville, save the farm, and discover what Morgan Edge is really up to.   Is our Captain Luthor Alexander Luthor, Jr.?

When we last left our heroes, the adult members of Team JSA fell victim to Brainwave's reprogramming, and they had 30 minutes to interrupt Brainwave's transmission. Fortunately, Beth and Chuck had a plan! They hit the Gambler where it hurts (his money) and hacked the underground frequency blockers to free Pat and Justin from Brainwave's control. We finally get the showdown we've been waiting for, and Team JSA shows the ISA they mean business. After gaining the upperhand, Yolanda kills Brainwave and Courtney destroys the satellites, freeing everyone from the mind control spell. Icicle tries to make a last stand and pleads with Barbara, but she sees through his facade and turns him down. Stargirl and Pat team-up to rescue Barbara and Mike runs Jordan down with a truck. We're a few villains down, but there's still much to look forward to next season, including the Shade and Eclipso. Oh, and STARMAN IS ALIVE. Or so we think... Looks like Project New America is back with a vengeance despite the new JSA's efforts to "save" Brainwave and stop the ISA. Meanwhile, Barbara and Pat separate and reconcile. As it turns out, Jordan is not so charming that Barbara will forsake her husband, no matter what his Norwegian parents think about her. Apparently, they've been murdering all the football coaches for sidelining, or otherwise being threatened by their daughter as the star quarterback. We also learn Stephen Sharp aka the Gambler has a mission for them: break into a communications company to acquire a satellite key so he can take over the satellite. As it turns out, the success of Project New America hinges on the satellite key and Brainwave's abilities. Sure sounds like brainwashing to me! Meanwhile, our brand new teenage heroes have formed the beginning of a new Justice Society. Stargirl, Dr. Mid-Nite, Hourman, and Wildcat discover the ISA plans to break into a communications company. Except, they incorrectly assume the Gambler is doing his own dirty work. Instead, our new heroes are tested when Sportsmaster and Tigress confront them and eventually gain the upper hand. Welcome to Blue Valley, Nebraska! We are parking the Waverider and following the story of a promising new hero, Stargirl. Nine years ago, Rex Tyler and his wife fled from their farm in Blue Valley, leaving their young son in the care of his uncle. To protect his identity, they changed his name and left paperwork claiming the uncle was his father. As they were fleeing, Grundy jumps out of the woods, smashes their car, and sends them into a tree, killing them. In present day, Rick is a sullen teenager whose uncle is clearly abusive. He has trouble controlling his anger, not knowing that his parents were murdered. When he runs into Courtney and Pat on the way to school, they both discover who he is really is: Hourman's son.  Beth discovered Courtney and Yolanda are running around at night playing superhero after seeing them at the hospital and she is following them around at school, eavesdropping. She decides to go over to Courtney's house, and after discovering the dog chewing on Dr. Mid-Nite's googles, she puts them on and learns more about the JSA. She shows Rick what really happened to his parents and he decides to join Team Stargirl for revenge. Meanwhile, Pat discovers the JSA artifacts in Courtney's room.
