We interviewed Erica, who came to us around the time the pandemic had started. She shares some of her fears about being pregnant and being a first time mom. She tells us about her favorite classes she has attended. She also tells us what she would say to a donor and a first time client. 

In this podcast we were able to get feedback from Lauren. She tells us what it was like coming to Turning Point, what she would tell someone who is afraid to come, and what she would tell to a donor who gives to Turning Point. It's incredible to hear her feedback and to know that because of our generous community, Turning Point supports families like hers every day. 

In this story, we dive deep into some early childhood trauma that Brenda experienced. Her story is nearly unbelievable. From the ground up Brenda worked hard on a constant pursuit to better her life.

Fifty percent of pregnancies are unplanned. This is the reason Turning Point is here. Peggy tells us she felt as if she had no other options when it came to her unplanned pregnancy. Everyone she turned to offered her no other options, and in the end she made a decision that impacts her to this day.

In this episode we invited Darwanna in to tell her story. When you meet Darwanna you would not expect her story to have started the way it did. She starts off by telling us she had a rocky past. The beginning of her story starts with her mother telling her she would not amount to anything. By the middle of her story, Darwanna says she couldn't take what she was going through anymore and was ready to give up. How did she do it you might ask? Well take a listen!

She tells us that she didn't realize how bad it was until the day she turned the abuse she was experiencing onto her children. April's story starts out on pregnancy number five, when she was trying to decide what to do. She dives into the leading factors that were driving her to want an abortion. One of the leading factors was the relationship she was in. She describes the steps she took to discover her worth and decide enough was enough. Join us as we find out how she got to where she is today.

She's an incredible woman who started a career in child protective services but is now working on the other side trying to help parents prevent circumstances that can lead to broken families. When I held her I knew I would go to war for this little girl. Once you have that baby in front of you, you know as a parent it is your responsibility to protect them and do whatever it takes to keep them safe. This is where adoption comes in.
