Episode 8 - Tom Rice (101st Airborne) WWII veteran interview (2/2)
Here's Episode #8 of Till Victory (a podcast about WWII and peace), and Part 2 of my conversation with world-famous veteran Tom Rice (501st PIR, 101st Airborne Division). On this day 76 years ago, Tom Rice was wounded in Bastogne, the belgian city made famous by the long and heroic stand of the 101st Airborne Division, surrounded by German units during the Battle of the Bulge. So we'll talk about that, of course, but we'll pick up where we left off, right after the Normandy campaign when the Screaming Eagles were getting ready for their next jump in Holland, "Operation Market Garden". If you're new to the podcast and haven't listened to Tom's part I yet, in which we talk about training, D-Day and Normandy, I suggest you start with the beginning! Clément Horvath, French author of "Till Victory - The Second World War By Those Who Were There" talks in this new series of podcasts with WWII veterans and their families about their war stories, the heritage of World War 2 and the future of peace. Clément's latest book is the English version of his award-winning "Till Victory, lettres de soldats alliés", a best seller in France focusing on frontline letters from war-torn Europe, and the result of 15 years of research. The book was published in November 2020 by Pen & Sword Books (in the UK & Europe) and will be released by Casemate in the US and Canada in January 2021. https://www.tillvictory.com

Episode 7 - World War II Historian Florent Plana (@ww2veteransmemories)
Episode 7 - How do you talk to a World War II veteran? How hard is it for them to share personal and gruesome details about the reality of war, and as civilians, are we able to understand what they went through? My friend and French historian / Normandy battlefields tour guide Florent Plana (World War II veterans'memories / @ww2veteransmemories) might have answers to these questions, as he has recorded on video almost a thousand veterans all over the United States and Europe. In this special episode of the podcast, Flo let me use some of the incredible interview material he gathered over the years... Follow him on social media, and subscribe to Till Victory (a podcast about WWII and peace) on all streaming platforms (Spotify, Deezer, Itunes...)! Clément Horvath, French author of "Till Victory - The Second World War By Those Who Were There" talks in this new series of podcasts with WWII veterans and their families about their war stories, the heritage of World War 2 and the future of peace. Episode 6 - Special book release episode with Heather Williams (Pen & Sword Books)
A very special episode of Till Victory (a podcast about WWII and peace), as we're celebrating the release, at last, of the English version of the book! To mark the occasion, I'm talking for the first time on the phone with my publisher, Heather Williams at Pen & Sword Books, about the importance of preserving History, how remembering what people went through 75 years ago can help us go through these difficult times, and of course, about her favorite stories from "Till Victory - the Second World War by those who were there". I'm also reading a few letters from the book, which is available worldwide at the end of the month (EXCITING!!!)...Clément Horvath, French author of "Till Victory - The Second World War By Those Who Were There" talks in this new series of podcasts with WWII veterans and their families about their war stories, the heritage of World War 2 and the future of peace. Episode 5 - Allen Greene (573rd Signal Aircraft Warning Battalion) WWII veteran interview
In Episode #5 of Till Victory (a podcast about WWII and peace), I'm having a very inspiring chat with WW2 veteran Allen Greene (573rd Signal Aircraft Warning Battalion). We talk about witnessing the gruesome landings on Omaha Beach from the deck of USS Achernar, spotting enemy aircraft for the US Army Air Forces throughout the whole European campaign, and about the difficulties of readjusting to civilian life after you've put your life on hold for many years. A very meaningful episode, when we are celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War II... Clément Horvath, French author of "Till Victory - The Second World War By Those Who Were There" talks in this new series of podcasts with WWII veterans and their families about their war stories, the heritage of World War 2 and the future of peace.
