Walking in Identity!
The world labels us by our past mistakes and our sin, this is a deception of the enemy. Our identity is not based on our sin, it's based on the Son of God! Jesus went to the cross to set us free and give us a new identity and purpose but we are only living to a fraction of that potential. Creation is eagerly awaiting the manifestation of the sons of GOD, for such a time as this!!! It's time to walk in that identity, it's time to walk in sonship! The Kingdom is here, it's time to show and tell the world. Be blessed, Be encouraged, Be a blessing.    Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

The ONE thing!
The Gospels tell us the story of a wealthy young man who ran and knelt at Jesus feet desiring relationship with the Savior. When Jesus told the young man he would have to give up the ONE thing, that mattered to him the most, the young man walked away sorrowful. What one thing are you holding onto that is keeping you from an intimate relationship with Jesus? If you are willing to forsake that one thing that doesn't matter you can take hold of the ONLY thing that does matter, Jesus Christ!!! Be blessed, Be encouraged, Be a blessing!  Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

Calling All Sinners!
We live in a sinful broken world that often times clouds our judgement and pollutes our perspectives on our worth. We make mistakes and then we convince ourselves that we are too far from God, that somehow we've disqualified ourselves from His love. This couldn't be farther from the truth, Jesus knew all of us and the mistakes we would make before the foundation of the world yet He chose us anyway! He came to call the sinners, the broken, and the hurting. The well have no need of a physician, only the sick, He is the Supreme Physician and He wants a relationship with you! The most important question you will ever answer is how do you respond to that invitation! Be blessed, Be encouraged, Be a blessing!   Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

The Disciple's Prayer
If you have a church background you are likely familiar with the LORD's prayer, Jesus gave this prayer to His disciples as a model how to pray. As His disciples this is a model that we too should follow but not as a repetitive prayer with no meaning but rather the style of adoration and petition that this prayer demonstrates. If we take this model and make it our we can grow in our intimacy with God and see our lives bear much fruit. A healthy prayer life is essential to a victorious life! Be blessed, Be encouraged, Be a blessing.   Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

Goliath Must Die!
We all face giants in life, our victory depends on our perspective and our preparedness. David shows us what it looks like to face opposition from the perspective of faith trusting that the victory was secure not because of our strength but because of the strength of the LORD. If we follow David's example and adopt a similar perspective we will see victory and God will get the glory. When we slay giants in our lives we also slay what they represent to others, giving us a powerful testimony to those in the midst of a battle. David killed one giant yet he was credited with killing "ten thousands" he didn't just defeat Goliath he defeated the torment of others that Goliath represented! Be blessed, Be encouraged, Be a blessing.  Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

Haircut's Don't Last Forever!
The story of Samson and Delilah paints a vivid picture of how sin can lead us down a path of compromise and destruction deterring us from God's purpose in our lives. Samson's sinful choices led to his ultimate demise but when he humbled himself, and called on the name of the LORD, God showed up in a miraculous way! Despite his faults and failures Samson will forever be remembered for his faith and serve as a reminder of God's faithfulness even when we aren't faithful to Him! Be blessed, Be encouraged, Be a blessing!    Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

Heart Condition
The world would have us follow our hearts but God wants us to follow Him! Our hearts are deceptive and sick, if we don't guard them they will deceive us and lead us to places that we don't belong. The only solution is an intimate relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ rooted in His love and His Word. When we are In Christ the peace of God guards our hearts and minds but we must pursue that relationship, allow the Word of God to influence our lives, and trust God's Holy Spirit to change our hearts! Be blessed, Be encouraged, Be a blessing.   Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

Justice, Mercy, & Grace
What is Justice, Mercy, and Grace? Justice is when we get what we deserve, Mercy is when we don't get what we deserve, And Grace is what we get what we don't deserve. Justice served in our lives would surely leave us condemned for eternity but God in His mercy loves us despite ourselves and offers us His free gift of eternal life. He stands at the door of our hearts and knocks, will you let Him in? Be blessed, Be encouraged, Be a blessing.   Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

Help My Unbelief!
We have a tendency to focus on our problems instead of focusing on the solution, we try in our strength to fix our situations and change our lives on our own and we always come up empty, always feeling worse than we did when the problem started. We doubt that God can help or that we deserve help. God is merciful and He wants to help. God knows the solution before we know the problem and He will help us if we only ask! God knows our doubts and uncertainties, He wants us to bring them to Him! Jesus can and will move the mountains in our lives but we must take our hands off the mountain and ask Him to move it! God wants to show Himself strong in your life, will you let Him? Or will you continue to exhaust your own strength? Be blessed, Be encouraged, Be a blessing! Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

Rooted In Christ!
The Bible tells us that we will know the truth and the will set us free but the truth cannot free us until we apply it to our lives. Being rooted in Christ and God's Word is essential to creating change in our lives and being set free from the bondage of sin. We dig into the Word and discuss some practical principles that can help you build a foundation to become rooted in the love of Christ and experience true freedom that comes through a deep relationship with Jesus. Be blessed, Be encouraged, and Be a blessing!   Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

I Am Gomer!
The Bible says the whole earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, in other words we are God's possession. He created us yet we turn our backs on Him and give ourselves over to evil. The story of Hosea and Gomer paints a vivid picture of the Gospel and God's love for humanity. God told Hosea to go get his wife despite her adulterous ways, the same way God pursued us despite our idolatrous sinful lifestyles. We are all Gomer, and God in His grace and mercy saved us despite ourselves and paid the ultimate price, giving His Son as a sacrifice for humanity, setting free from the bondage and slavery to sin all who call on the name of the LORD Jesus Christ! Be blessed, Be encouraged, Be a blessing!  Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

The Power of Our Preaching
When you have Jesus, you have a testimony. Too often we discount ourselves from sharing our faith because we don't know enough Scripture or we didn't have a crazy lifestyle before we gave our hearts to Jesus, as if the power to save doesn't rest on us. Paul resorted to know nothing but Christ crucified and he saw a lost, depraved city became a thriving community of believers. The blind man's testimony in John 9, after Jesus healed him, was "I was blind, now I see" Simple yet effective but why? Because we don't change peoples lives, the Gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives, The power doesn't rest on us but through Christ in us. When we realize this, God can and will use us to share the Good News with a lost world. Lives depend on it, eternity is at stake, will you preach the message? Be blessed!   Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

God can use you! Will you let Him?
God can and will use us despite what we think about ourselves or how bad we think we are but we need to be open and willing. Peter is a perfect example, he denied Jesus then fled in shame and condemnation. An experience with the risen Savior changed his heart and that experience opened him to be used by God in a mighty way. On the Day of Pentecost, Peter filled with the Holy Spirit was used by God and 3,000 people were saved. You're never too far gone for God to use you! Be blessed! AMen@thrivechurchphilly.org

Confounding Worldly Wisdom
God uses the weak things in the world to shame the wise. Godly wisdom is far greater than human wisdom, the messengers he chooses defy worldly wisdom. God most often uses vessels viewed as weak by worldly standards to fulfill His purposes so He will get the most glory. In our weakness His power is made visible.    Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org

Walking in Victory!
Joshua 1, Hebrews 10:35-36.  Obedience to God leads to victory and true biblical prosperity but it requires perserverance, trust, and faith. When God gave Joshua his assignment to lead the Isrealites, God also gave him the keys to successfully reaching the promised land. Let us all be like Joshua and walk in faith without wavering for the glory of God and the name and renown of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  Amen@thrivechurchphilly.org
