Faith for the Future
In this episode we talk about the importance of having faith for the future. Praying for your future or current spouse.  And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” (Matthew 21:22 NKJV) Some people focus on the word “believing” in this verse, pointing out that we must be convinced of what we ask, which is true. Other people will focus on the words “whatever things”, in this verse. Does that mean we can ask anything?   James 4.3 (NIV) shine a different light. “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” With that in mind, if we read the previous verse, we understand that whatever things we ask for in faith or things related to our faith, we will receive. This is also what it says 1 John 5:14 (NKJV): “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”  Praying for our future marriage is not only making a list of everything we want, but it is also important to develop a strong, passionate relationship with God. There are no better marriages than a union of two people that are in love… with God! A cord with three threads is not easily broken, Ecclesiastes 4.12 (NKJV). If you want a marriage that lasts, first develop a good relationship with God. This relationship begins with prayer To love your wife or husband, and to take the time to talk with them, shouldn’t be a hard or boring task. So start developing your communication skills and affection by practicing with God. Start building your future marriage by spending time with God, talking but also listening to Him. That way He can tell you how you can become the best version of yourself. Because being in His Presence… it’s the best place in the world! Hebrews 11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.   Psalms 5:3 3 In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly Matthew 6:33 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” ReplyForward --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Destiny
In this episode we review chapter 5 of the book Quite Strength by Tony Dungy. We also kick off a mini series talking about destiny.  Please like and share our podcast and leave us a review. Scriptures we reference.  Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Habakkuk 2:3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. Psalm 138:8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Proverbs 16:3 Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations. Ecclesiastes 6:10 Whatever has come to be has already been named, and it is known what man is, and that he is not able to dispute with one stronger than he. Job 23:14 For he will complete what he appoints for me, and many such things are in his mind. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. Mark 11:22-24 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Matthew 21:22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Now this goes both ways we can speak faith or we can speak fear or doubt: This is why Moses turned to the people and said, “The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent” (Exodus 14:13b-14 ESV). "In the midst of their fear, Moses calls for silent expectancy. When we are constantly vocalizing everything that’s wrong, putting the focus on our problems, calling attention to our deficiencies, it keeps us from looking at anything else. The more we talk, the easier it becomes to believe that our problem is just too big and the harder it gets to actively surrender our need to the God who is big enough to meet it. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
