From Theology To Doxology
Psalms 98:1-9 A Psalm. Oh sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. The LORD has made known his salvation; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations. He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises! Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody! With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the LORD! Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it! Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity. On this episode I play a sermon I delivered after returning to my home church. I give an exposition of Psalm 98 where we discover that a Biblical Theology (right thinking) leads to Doxology (joyful singing).

The Judge of All the Earth Will Do Right
Genesis 18:25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? On today’s Podcast we discuss Psalm 73 and the psalm writer’s conclusion that even though it seems as though the wicked are prospering and the righteous are suffering, God is good in all that He is doing. As we look into this passage we will get a better understanding of why this seems to be the case much of the time. We will also see, just as Asaph (the Author of the Psalm) came to see, how we can view God as doing the right thing in the prosperity of the wicked and suffering of His people. This is really a lesson about faith, trusting in God’s goodness, understanding that His ways are higher than our ways and realizing that only He can see the end from the beginning.

Thoughts On The Return Of Christ
In today’s episode we take a look at 2 Peter 3:8-14 and discuss some thoughts on the return of Christ. Why has Christ not returned already? What does the return of Christ mean for the believer? What does it mean for the unbeliever? How should it change the way I live my life? These are the questions in which we look to scripture for answers in today’s show. This is not a discussion however on when or how Christ will return, But rather on the non debatable fact that He will return. A fact in which all Christians believe and come together on. This Week’s Quote “Christ will come again. But we must look to scripture, not human thought, for our guide to preparing.” - David Jeremiah This Week’s Focus on Good Works https://www.facebook.com/pages/Christian-Truckers-wives/273932279314692 Community Description - This is a place for fellowship with other wives whose husbands are on the road. We do Bible Studies and discussions about life at home, the Bible, our purpose as wives, and help each other grow in God’s will. This Week’s Book Suggestion The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer Apart from his theological writings, Bonhoeffer became known for his staunch resistance to the Nazi dictatorship. He strongly opposed Hitler’s euthanasia program and genocidal persecution of the Jews. He was also involved in plans by members of the German Military Intelligence Office to assassinate Adolf Hitler. He was arrested in April 1943 by the Gestapo and executed by hanging in April 1945 while imprisoned at a Nazi concentration camp, just 23 days before the German surrender. The Cost of Discipleship speaks of “Cheap Grace”: preaching forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, communion without confession. “Cheap Grace” is grace without discipleship. “Costly Grace” is the gospel which must be sought again and again, the gift which must be asked for, the door at which a man must knock. “It’s costly because it costs a man his life, and it is grace because it gives a man the only true life.”

Called To Make Disciples
In this episode we take a look at the “Great Commission” Jesus gave to his disciples in Matthew 28:16-20. Was this commission left for all followers of Jesus Christ? If so, how are we as individuals to carry out these commands to 1) “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” 2) “baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” 3) “teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” These questions and more will be answered. I also give a rundown on what’s been happening at Truckers Gospel Mission and what’s down the road. I also take a few minutes to highlight another ministry: http://propositionusa.com/ this ministry is a group of Connecticut Teachers and Patriots who love our country very much and have complete faith in AMERICANS to bring our country back by one AMERICAN helping one other AMERICAN. Specifically doing this by bringing awareness to the struggles of U.S. Veterans and calling on Americans to reach out through awareness, prayer, and a helping hand.
