The World's Wake Pre-Show, Episode 4: "There With the Grace of God Go I"
The host prepares us for an upcoming effort to seek an interview with The Female, who may or may not be related to the goddess of the ancient (and future) earth religion. The rites of that goddess religion are invoked by the Church of Immanent Life, and others, as they prepare their own delegation to the situation in Wheeler County, CO. Elsewhere, the spirits prepare a play within a play, exploring the themes of expropriation and exile in the New World, and the origins of American ideals in a shipwreck on the Isle of Bermuda. Finally, a voice from the near future tells her story of a dangerous border crossing to rescue her daughter, who is in the grip of an artificial intelligence with ulterior motives. Featuring: Adam Fogelson as "The Host" and "The Señora" Tanja Birke, Laila Johnson, and Denise Murphy as "The Priestesses" David Higgins as "Sheriff's Deputy" Gavain U'Prichard as "Bermuda Renegade" Hannah Johnson as "Sonja" Laila Johnson as "Eliza" Music was created and performed by Gavain U'Prichard, Laila Johnson, Dan Hubelein, and the Viroqua Singers Featured songs: "From the Air" by Laurie Anderson, "Truth" by Alexander, and soundscape from the 1992 film "Baraka" by Ron Fricke Sound production by Gavain U'Prichard Written by Gavain U'Prichard and Laila Johnson
