The Whole Hard Truth About Overcoming Fear & Doubt
Back at it like a Craftmatic, I’ve been in my creative bubble working. While I can with all sincerity offer that as legitimate reason for TWHT hiatus for the last 3 weeks there is another truth that exists within the same space. Quite honestly I was paralyzed by the fear of recording a podcast without a guest. Sounds nuts right? A cat such as I am... so opinionated and verbose... fearful of taking center stage alone. Well if you got 60 minutes... damn near to the second... I’ll explain fam.

The Whole Hard Truth About Getting Active With Young Activist
To be young is one thing, young and socially active another. So what's it like to be a young social activist in this era? Well you're about to find out. Elijah Judah, also known in the streets as Young Activist is one of the many voices calling for change in our communities. Leading with his faith, he might be a bit of a throwback in an era where religion is seen by some as regressive. Whether you agree with his spiritual beliefs or not, there's no questioning his love for his community, heart and hustle to be a part of changing things for the better. A warning to the easily offended, this is a big boy / girl pants conversation. A healthy exchange of differing opinions and ideas is always more than welcome and encouraged. A major topic that YA and I spoke on... sex work and the change in perspective of it in the modern era.

The Whole Hard Truth about being a Marvel Hero w/ June Carryl
The on demand world of streaming content just got hit with a dose of acting smack that will resonate for a while, and my big sis June Carryl is the dealer. You know her as Dr. Louise Hasting of HULU's Helstrom... I know her as Junemoon. To see her acting career rise has been a lesson in knock until they open... or... kick the door down and make yourself at home. And that's exactly what shel has done and how it feels like to watch her do her thing on the big screen. Take note future actors... this is a lesson you'll never forget

The Whole Hard Truth about working your ass off w/ MSNBC's Joy Reid
Some people work for it, others are born with it... and some people are a mixture of both. My sister Joy Reid is just that. Lomangelo's path to the pinnacle of political punditry is a brilliant example of what happens when hard work and innate talent are applied with persistence. As the haphazardous world of politics continues turn, we can all take heart in the courage and calm that Joy Reid exudes every night while breaking it down like only she can.

The Whole Hard Truth about Bitcoin. "Boom or Bust" w/ Brandon West
Bitcoin hit it's record high recently and isn't showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon. Whether you're skeptical or bullish on the mega money market that crypto appears to be, the phenomenon is poppin off more than ass in a Cardi be video. With big players in the fiat financial space like PayPal and CashApp catching the wave it begs the question, is Cryptocurrency a financial fix, or a fool's gold destined to fail? As with all things new, it's best to ask a person who knows. So I did that. This is The Whole Hard Truth about Bitcoin... Boom or Bust with Brandon West of SALT Lending.

The Whole Hard Truth about being a sports reporter during quarantine w/ Brandon Krysztal
Is one of the coolest jobs in the world... still one of the coolest job in the world... after gang bangs (industry lingo) turn to zoom calls? Live sports and how we consume them has changed drastically in some ways... not so much in others... BK hopped in with me to discuss which leagues are positioned best in a quarantine world.

The Whole Hard Truth According to Courtney Alston
The post election world doesn't seem to be mending seamlessly as many hoped it would. Shocker. Talks with my birthday twinn have always been a calming influence in my world... and now I'm bringing that sense of peace to yours. Popey's chicken, binary political choices, Covid-19 fuckery and finding peace in the midst of chaos. My personal zen master Courtney Alston is in the building, Whole Hard Truth style.

Episode 5.3 : A more perfect union
Churning out dope content aint easy. Since beginning down this path I've tinkered and toyed with a few different formulas in search of a platform unique to the podcast world. By George I think I've got it! Episode 5 is a return to what inspired me to do this in the first place. This one's for everyone who's sat on the phone with a friend and swore at conversation's end that you should start a podcast. Taking it back to the purity that convinced me that I revolve around greatness. 5 separate conversations with 5 of my people, Matt Neiman (the pragmatist), David King (the producer), William Montgomery (the piece of work), Charles Johnson (the quarterback) & June Carryl (big sis the prolific actor) combined in order to form a more perfect union. Who's gonna win the culture war raging in our country? Black love & and brokering the black vote. Adventures from Raseda, CA to HULU's Helstrom and back! All that and then some on episode 5 of The Whole Hard Truth. This is part 3 of 3.

Shout out EODBRANDONBAKER
What with the podcast being new and all one could imagine how happy I am to get feedback. Now... the “good” and “bad” I can handle, but the “indifferent” I cannot stomach. Recently while scrolling through my Apple podcast reviews I saw one that would definitely in the “bad” category of the feedback loop. And so... to that reviewer EODBRANDONBAKER, I dedicate this episode of The Whole Hard Truth. Oh yeah and a black man got his teeth knocked out (literally) in San Francisco for promoting freedom of speech... so there’s that too. Enjoy.

Hashtag asking for a friend. Part 2.
Part 2.One cannot title a podcast "The Whole Hard Truth" and try to be PC at the same time. Inspired by a recent, fairly high profile situation in the arts community here in Denver, I chose to tee up "toxic femininity" as the topic of discussion for this episode. Is that even a thing? According to Google it most certainly is, though the phrase has yet to take its place next to its masculine counterpart in the callout culture era we're living in. Far be it from me to NOT stir the pot, and my good friend Annie Iselin (aka Annie My) was kind enough to sit with me and chop it up about some taboo subject matter.

Ep. 1 Part 3 “KseNava”
If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, the road to recovery and reunion is lined with mines. 10 years is a long time. A lot goes into an absence like that, from people you love dearly. The past can’t be changed, only learned from. Believe me when I say... there’s still much to repair... but I cherish the work and opportunity to do so.

Ep. 1 Part 2 “Eraserhead”
After marrying for the wrong reasons, what’s left to do but complete the cycle? 7 years in, a sports radio and television career taking off, I jumped ego first into an extramarital affair that broke family indelibly. How much truth is too much? Is there even a such thing? Listen and judge for yourself.

Resurrected father ✅
In keeping with the mission of the podcast; creating a culture of unadulterated truth, I’m setting the bar of expectation.Episode 1 of TWHT is a three part series of a life long conversation about a skeleton in my public / private closet. With the help of my brothers J.R.(@thotunu1) and David (@avenue_dave) we recap the serpentine route I ran trying to escape childhood trauma. A cypher that reveals how dishonesty with both myself and others drove a decade long wedge between me and two young humans that I love dearly, and am blessed to be rebuilding with.Thank you all for journeying with.My guy Jordan Peterson would be proud
