The WHISKIEE Podcast episode #25 finds the families celebrating the end of the school year...and the dads wondering when everyone goes back. "Are we there yet?" The guys discover Grangestone Bourbon Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky and give it a major thumbs up! They also give a major thumbs up to the ability to get back out with other people again, celebrating the return of family traditions like Martini Night. But the return to large gatherings has its shortcoming. While the oldest daughter is not a fan of these crowds, the middle child is ecstatic to be able to steal the spotlight for a bit. But these gatherings come with a cost: in fact, California is fitting the bill by literally paying people to get the vaccine! With work once again taking a front seat, we talk about the joys of "new tech", security, and the efforts to take on the next challenge. Episode #23 of The WHISKIEE Podcast has us saying...I'm sorry, what did you just say? Nature vs. nurture, we think it's all about control. The Dad's sampled Speyburn 10 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky and boy, did it pack a punch! And after finally getting some routine back as the girls (teachers and kids alike) return to the classroom...summer is right around the corner! Episode #22 of The WHISKIEE Podcast is a Jameson kind of morning. It's been a rough couple weeks as schools restart in person teaching, schedules get messed up, and the world expands for our little ones. With second vaccine shots achieved for the parents, the kids are venturing out into a post quarantine world! The littlest finally got to meet her 91 year old great grandmother. N8FOO was able to see his family (whom he hasn't really seen since Thanksgiving, 2019) to celebrate a birthday. And all three girls are now back to or starting daycare outside of the home. First day of "school" for the youngest, and Mama Bear doesn't know what to do with herself! ChewDada has gotten a new rig, which N8FOO already performed emergency work on. And speaking of pushing buttons, the girls continue their quest to find just the right combination to win against us. Both physically by turning off said new rig and metaphorically by, well, just being kids. Also, can the oldest please not use dog leashes on her sibling? Especially the choker collar... Work has been insane. Life has been challenging. But the light at the end of the tunnel is nigh! As these changes start to lead to a new routine, the dads talk about expanding their extra curriculars into more consistent gaming and life. ChewDada has begun modding for Richiebob2 on Twitch, whom hosts a large community cluster of servers for Ark, Conan Exiles, Insurgency, and several other games. Guardians MH had another very successful fundraiser and is able to outreach farther than they ever hoped for. Welcome to Episode #21! We are finally old enough to legally enjoy the libations that are consumed during the recording! Life is starting to return to normal and that is a whole new set of concerns as parents and people.  Where is that fine line of what is "right" or "acceptable". We talk about stability vs. taking risks as the opportunities unfold before us. Microsoft has planted a chip in our arms so we are compelled to extol the virtues of all things XBOX and Microsoft and the fall of broadcast services as we move to an ala carte world and how we have more control as consumers over what we are willing to pay for. Also...  we married into a good family and all credit for the good things our kids do is fully credited to our spouses.
