Episode 5: Sam - Who is 21.AM?
This episode I interview my friend Sam and SHE is the amazing artist behind The Weekly Hustle podcast logo! Over the past couple years, she’s managed to build a business being completely anonymous. She has allowed her art to speak for itself and has had incredible success in doing so. But just like every artist/ creative, she still struggles with learning how to pitch herself and finding balance between her main hustle and her side hustle. Episodes 4: Katie - In Memory of Lieutenant John Tamola
This is part two of my interview with Katie, she opens up about the recent passing of her dad and describes their tumultuous relationship. Saying goodbye to a loved one is extremely difficult and I am amazed by Katie’s strength throughout this process. We also talked more about her love for writing and some of her more personal goals as it relates to writing (see links below for some of her writing). I also attempted to share my top ten Katie tweets but of course only got to about three. “9 Books That Have Gotten Me Through Heartbreak, Love, & Everything In Between” “10 Foods That Look Amazing On Instagram & Taste Terrible IRL” “These Microwaveable Foods Are Actually Instagrammable AF” “You Are Not Perfect, But You Are All Of These Things” “This Is What Our Favorite Fictional TV Characters Would Read In Real Life” “5 Pieces Of Unsolicited Dating Advice For All Frustrated Modern Daters” “The Perfect Book To Read For Whatever Mood You’re In” “A Million Different Pieces: How I Hid The Fact That I Was Cutting Myself” Read Katie’s Favorite Book: The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao - Junot Diaz Follow Katie on Twitter: @ktammm Follow Katie on Instagram: @ktammmola Artwork Credit Instagram: @21.am Website: www.21-am.com Follow me on Instagram: @jenniferlyn__ & @theweeklyhustle_ Please leave a review and let me know what you think!

Episode 3: Katie - “Prove myself, to myself”
In part one in my interview with Katie, we talk about what she had gone through highschool and college to that led to her writing her first freelance piece. She was student council president at her all girls high school, spoke at her high school graduation, was an RA in college, and was that chick that always made people laugh. Somehow all of this lead to her first piece called “A Million Different Pieces: How I Hid The Fact That I Was Cutting Myself” with Refinary 29. As she shared with me her very personal journey, I learned about how writing became her comfort and allowed her to overcome such a difficult time in her life. Episode 2: Mark - “Often creatives are undervalued”
For this episode, I wanted to interview someone working in a creative space because I know there’s a different struggle there that I am unaware of. Mark, first generation Mexican-American, shares why he decided to stop going to college to pursue a career in photography, film, and media. He gives insight on some of the more common struggles creators/ artists deal with such as - knowing the value of your work, differentiating yourself from others, and the importance of surrounding yourself with supportive people. Episode 1: Shivani - “Whatever you want, act like you already have it”
In my first podcast I interviewed my good friend Shivani, who I consider a modern day boss babe! We both pursued a career in accounting and work for the same firm. In this podcast we talked about how we manage work-life balance, the importance of speaking up, how our cultural backgrounds and families have influenced our work ethic. I look up to Shivani so much and I think having friendships like this are crucial to being successful - someone that can relate to your experience and be there whenever you are faced with a certain struggle in your career. Whether you chose a career in accounting or not I hope you are able to find something you can relate to. Please leave a review and let me know what you think!
