I've said it over and over again. Everyone has the same twenty-four hours in a day. It doesn't matter how old or how young or how poor or how rich. What matters is what you do with those twenty-four hours. Blocking your time for your ONE Thing is what will get you to your Someday goal. Once you TIME BLOCK your ONE Thing then you have to remember to PROTECT YOUR TIME BLOCK. We all get distracted and then we wonder where the time went and we didn't get done what we wanted to get done. Be ruthless about your time because it's your most valuable resource and once you lose it then you lose it forever. You CAN DO Your ONE Thing. You just need FOCUS to get there. Get this book, The ONE Thing and READ IT. Once you're done, then READ IT AGAIN. And then maybe one more time to really understand and live the concepts.

Making sure that whatever you are doing RIGHT NOW is in line with your Daily, Weekly, Monthly, One-Year, Five-Year, and Someday goals will help you stay on track. Staying on track, limiting distractions, and having that laser FOCUS will set you apart from everyone else. 126 | The One Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results
So I'm currently reading this book called The One Thing by Gary Keller with Jay Papasan, and so far it's been life-changing. I'm learning how to better focus and limit distractions. I'm learning that multitasking is actually not a good thing when you're trying to accomplish something because it distracts you from that one thing you're trying to do. What is your ONE Thing? Are you constantly being distracted from that ONE Thing? If you are, I highly recommend reading this book because we all know what we have to do to get good at our jobs and our businesses but somehow we're not doing it. I believe there are things in a day that keep us "busy" like emails and slack messages but it's not really helping us reach meaningful goals. Can you imagine how much you can accomplish in a day if you didn't have all these distractions? Imagine if you actually stayed focused for most of your day, what would you get done?

Happy December! I know it's been a while since my last episode. To say it's been a rough year for everyone is an understatement and I'm no different. I started a new job back in May and I'll be honest, it's taking a lot of my willpower and capacity. I was hoping that it would eventually die out but that's just not the case. Actually, things are getting busier and busier with work. So finally, I said that I just needed to schedule a time to create, record, edit, and publish an episode. Everyone has the same twenty-four hours from the richest person to the poorest. The only difference is what we do with those hours. I realized that if I waited to have time, I would never create another episode again. Instead, I needed to MAKE time. What is something you need to MAKE time for?

Hi Family! For most of my life, I tried to do and say things that please my family, friends, and just people in general. I even worried about the opinion of people I didn't even know. That sounds crazy, right? I think we all do it to some degree - some more than others. I know that feeling of being twisted inside because you don't agree on something but you don't want any trouble or drama so you just stay quiet or nod. We must learn to listen to our inner voice. That voice that tells you when something is right or something is wrong. We ignore it a lot. But we do that because we don't know how to listen to it. A lot of us don't know how to listen to that inner voice but we need to change that. To be happy, we must be ourselves. It takes practice. It takes some quiet time with yourself and aligning your heart, mind, body, and soul. Practice meditation every day and see what happens. I love you ALL!!

Hey Family! I hope you all are taking some time to understand racism and it's history. Personally, I'm trying to look for books to read and movies and documentaries that I can learn from. If you don't know where to start, you can watch 13TH on Netflix. It explains slavery, the 13th amendment, Jim Crow laws, and mass incarceration. It was very eye-opening for me and I think it will be eye-opening for a lot of you as well. I love you ALL!!

Black Lives Matter. It doesn't mean all lives don't matter. Today, at this time in history, Black people are getting murdered and they have been getting murdered for the last 400 years. So yes, Black Lives Matter... because all lives can't matter until Black Lives Matter. If you don't know what to say or how to feel, then you can just listen and educate yourself. This is a time when we need a lot of empathy, compassion, kindness, and love. It is a time for all of us to come together and do this together. I love you all!!

Hello Family! I know some of you are currently in bad situations right now but this one tool that I've used over and over again might help you. REFRAMING. If you REFRAME your current reality and start seeing it as something better, then you'll be happier. Seeing the positive instead of the negative in life is a skill that we all need to learn. Once you do that, you'll see more and more things to be grateful for in your life. It takes practice but I think it's worth it because life is better when we see as a glass half full. Cheers!

Maybe you just have too many things and too many events in your life that you can no longer think clearly. Well, start decluttering and see what happens. A lot of us like to pretend that we don't get hurt by failure and pretend that we are just fine. We do things to numb ourselves of that bad feeling. But are we just depriving ourselves of living a good life? After all, emotions are what make us human. If we don't feel anything then why are we alive? Most of us just want to feel happy but we aren't so good at feeling happy either. As soon as we feel happy, we think something bad will happen. When something makes us feel bad, we want to fix it and make the bad feeling go away right away. Be. Do. Have. It's not: Have. Do. Be. If you want more out of life you have to Be More first and Do More second. HAVE is a result of those first two things. For example, are you demanding for a promotion before working hard or acting like that person already in the position you want? Are you saying, "Once I get that promotion, then I'll work hard." Or, "After I get that big raise then I'll give it my best." Keep thinking that way and nothing will change for you. I used to think this meant big gestures like dropping everything and working for the Peace Corps. Then I realize, I can make a difference where I am at any moment. I can choose to be kind to everyone I come across. I also realize that I can choose to be kind to myself and not beat myself up. Imagine if we were all kind to ourselves and to one another. What would the world look like? Bad things happen to us but it doesn't give us the right to be jerks. Bad things happen to everyone. It's called LIFE. 110 | Be Happy Now: Today & At This Moment
I was all about goals: go to college, get a job, make money, buy nice things, buy a car, buy a house, travel, get a promotion, find a better job, find a nice girl and marry her, have kids, start a business. Sound familiar? I thought that if I just keep hitting these "milestones" in life, I would live happily ever after but that wasn't the case. Wherever I was in life, I was never satisfied. Then after listening to some podcasts like this one, reading some books, and listening to different talks on YouTube, I realize that I can actually just be happy right now, today and at this moment. I realized that the process is actually the dream. I realized that I can be happy doing whatever it is I'm doing. I learn to enjoy the ups and downs of the process and not just the end result.
