Kylie Costello, venue coordinator at 19Main in New Milford, CT joined the We Do Wedding Podcast to talk about the 1900's renovated bank that's become a popular wedding venue. Kylie told us about her journey from new coordinator, straight out of college, to a seasoned pro with hundreds of weddings under her belt--and what she's learned over the past six years. We learned that 19Main's central location and neutral, elegant backdrop make it popular for all kinds of couples who want to make a classic, full-service venue their own. Mae and Stelle are a wife and wife wedding videography team based out of St. Petersburg, Florida and serving clients worldwide. They talked with Regina and Cate about the soul and purpose that drives their business; in the process, they created a space of vulnerability, emotional honesty, and PURE LOVE that left us buzzing and happy. Mae and Stelle got their start as a videography duo when they began their own long-distance romance years ago. Through the process of falling in love and documenting it, they learned that capturing that most ephemeral and sought-after emotion is their life work and soul's passion. We got DEEP in our conversation, fighting nerves and tech issues and even more important, the fear of not being able to properly articulate how meaningful our work is. Kendra Hayes of Green Haven, an outdoor wedding venue in Pomfret, Connecticut, joined Regina and Cate to discuss the beauty of the sprawling property and why the Green Haven team has decided to specialize in small (fewer than 50 people) weddings. Justin and Steph Ziebell are married life partners and a wedding videography duo based in Connecticut and serving couples worldwide. They joined Regina and Cate to talk about their inspiration, what makes their wedding films unique, and who they love working with.  They love creating one-of-a-kind unique wedding films that evoke nostalgia and feel more like home movies than blockbuster movies, and they use a combination of digital and Super 8 film to achieve that affect. Reverend Maureen Cotton is a coach and officiant based in Beverly, Massachusetts and serving all of New England. She joined Regina and Cate for a wonderful, meaningful, meandering conversation about tradition, ritual, and why weddings are so full of potential. Maureen is not your average wedding officiant. She works with couples in a therapeutic coaching relationship prior to their wedding to ask big picture questions and find out what matters to them, and why. Susie and Liza are co-owners of Hope Lodge Venue, a wedding and event space in Moosup, Connecticut. Jenna Szyluk is the founder/CEO of Dash of Pride, an LGBTQ+ friendly wedding and special event supplies shop, as well as Dash of Pride Wedding Pros, a wedding vendor directory focused on serving LGBTQ+ clients. The business is based out of Oregon and serves clients and vendors worldwide. Jenna's episode was a special one. Gary Bass is the founder/owner of MNE Events, a full-service Connecticut-based entertainment company that offers DJ and emcee services, photo booths, lighting and sound, and photography for weddings and events. Shiran Nicholson is the founder/owner of The Knowlton, a full-spectrum wedding/event venue, art gallery, and public space in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This week we spoke with Amanda Parker, director of sales and event production at OnTheMarc Events. She got us seriously ravenous, talking about OnTheMarc's fresh, seasonal food and custom menus. Tony and Tara of Costanzo Clothing join the podcast for a lively discussion about how clothing is so much more meaningful than we often think. Tara and Tony have owned and operated their Hartford-based custom clothier business for almost twenty years. They specialize in crafting tailored garments that are customized to fit a person's frame, style, and personality, and they do house calls and in-depth online meetings to make sure every single detail of the garments in question are person. Tony and Tara completely won us over with their warm-hearted spirits and the passion they so clearly have for the work they do.
