Echo Lloyd
Echo Lloyd last spoke with her daughter, Kelsey, on May 9, 2020, the day before Mother’s Day. Kelsey stopped by Echo’s Edwards, Missouri home the next day to drop off flowers and a Mother’s Day card. Echo wasn’t there, and her car wasn’t in the driveway. Kelsey left the items outside for her mom when she returned home. Over the next several days, Kelsey kept trying to reach Echo, but her calls kept going straight to voicemail. Her concerns began to grow, and by the 15th, she made the trip back over to Echo’s home. Kelsey found the car was in the driveway, but there was no trace of Echo. While Kelsey was searching the house for Echo, she found Echo’s purse, her ID, and some money. Missing along with Echo was her cell phone, keys, and medications. Since that time, suspicions have focused on one person who lived near Echo’s home and had taken an unhealthy interest in her since she moved to Edwards. If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Echo Llyod, you are urged to call the Missouri State Highway Patrol at (573) 526-6178.You can follow developments in Echo’s case on Facebook at Bring Echo Home. They are currently offering a reward for information that will lead them to Echo. This episode was sponsored by:Upstart- Find out how Upstart can lower your monthly payments today when you got to UPSTART.com/VANISHED.Headspace- Go to Headspace.com/THEVANISHED for a free one-month trial with access to Headspace's full library of meditations for every situation. Case Update: Grundy County Jane Doe
It has been nearly two years since we shared the story of Grundy County Jane Doe, whose remains were discovered in October 1976 by a farmer in rural Seneca, Illinois. When we initially researched her story, we learned that her case was reopened by ambitious Deputy Coroner Brandon Johnson, who works in Grundy County, Illinois. At that time, the coroner’s office had recently exhumed Jane Doe and had sent a bone to a lab for DNA testing, but results had not come back from the lab. The coroner’s office considered several possibilities for identifying Jane Doe if her DNA was not matched to a profile already in the CODIS database. We spoke to Brandon again recently to hear more about what has taken place in the effort to identify Jane Doe.If you have any information about Jane Doe’s identity or her murder, please contact Grundy County Deputy Coroner Brandon Johnson at 815-941-3359 or email him at bjohnson@grundyco.org.You can follow Jane Doe’s story on Facebook at facebook.com/grundycountycoldcase.Listen ad-free with Wondery+. Case Update: Paige Johnson
We initially told Paige’s story in February of 2020. Since that time, there have been many developments in her case, including the recovery of her remains and the arrest of the person suspected of seriously harming or killing her. At the time we first aired the podcast, Paige’s family was still looking for answers, distributing flyers, conducting searches, and meeting with law enforcement in the hopes of making progress in bringing Paige home. We left off with a brokenhearted family who had been forever changed by Paige’s disappearance and ten years without answers. If you have any information about the death of Paige Johnson, please call the Covington, Kentucky Police Department at 859-292-2222. Camille Dardanes Dotson disappeared from Las Vegas, Nevada, sometime in September of 1994. While she once had a promising future, Camille had been on a downward spiral for quite some time. Unfortunately, it took months to report Camille missing, and the police didn’t seem very interested in looking for her. Camille’s mom moved to Las Vegas and began spending her free time searching for her daughter, but no one had seen Camille. Mysteriously, Camille’s missing person’s case was closed by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department months later and wasn’t reopened until the early 2000s, when a friend began seeking answers. Today, the search for what happened to Camille continues with her daughter, Ashley, who was just a young child when her mom vanished. During this renewed search, they have found was that in the lead-up to her disappearance, Camille was involved with some violent men, had ties to organized crime, and was possibly working as an informant. If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Camille Dardanes Dotson, please call the Las Vegas Metro Police Department at (702) 828-3111.You can follow developments in this case on Facebook at Camille Dardanes Dotson - Missing Person. This episode was sponsored by:DoorDash- Download the DoorDash App and enter promo code VANISHED to get $5 off your purchase of $15 or more.Headspace- Go to Headspace.com/THEVANISHED for a free one-month trial with access to Headspace's full library of meditations for every situation.Listen ad-free with Wondery+. Jayme Bryant
On June 29, 2013, 25-year-old Jayme Bryant contacted several family members and let them know that he had been to the hospital on June 28 after sustaining injuries from a fall. He said that the doctors thought he could have pneumonia and told him to return the following day. Jayme told his mom that he would call her after he left the hospital, but that call never came and no one ever heard from Jayme Bryant again.Jayme was quite a nomadic individual. He bounced around, staying with various friends and only owned a backpack full of belongings. If friends and family went a few days or even a week without hearing from him, it was not out of the norm. However, after about a week, his friends reached out to Jayme's sister to see if he had spoken to his family. When they realized that he was nowhere to be found, they filed a missing persons report. Since that time, his family has not learned much more about where Jayme Bryant may have gone or what happened to him. He has not spoken or reached out to any of his friends or family since June 2013. Jayme has seemingly disappeared into thin air. There were some rumors that he may have attended a music festival on June 30, 2013, but there has been no concrete evidence to substantiate that. If you have information on his whereabouts, please contact Detective Rivard of the Kalamazoo Public Safety Dept. at (269) 337-8139, the Kalamazoo County Central Dispatch at 269-488-8911, or KDPS Detective Rivard at 269-337-8094.You can follow Jayme's case on social media at Help Us Find Jayme Bryant. This episode was co-researched and written by Marissa Jones and Erika Gwynn. Emily Noble
On the evening of May 24, 2020, 52-year-old Emily Noble was out celebrating her birthday with her husband. They stopped at several restaurants in a popular part of Westerville, Ohio, and then made their way home for the evening. During the night, Emily’s husband got up to use the restroom and then went back to sleep in a guest room, not wanting to disturb Emily. When he woke up later that morning, Emily was gone, and her wallet, phone, keys, and car were still at the residence. Emily has not been seen since the evening she went out for her birthday, and rumors and allegations have swirled around this story from day one.Last week, human remains were found in a wooded area not far from Emily's condo. At this time, those remains have not been identified. On September 22, 2020, the Westerville Police Department held a press conference about the remains recovered last week. They said that the dental comparison was "consistent" with Emily Noble's dental records but that they are going to do DNA test to be sure. The DNA comparison could take some time. The autopsy is not complete, there is no news on a cause or manner of death. They also mentioned that the area was searched by authorities multiple times, at least one time with cadaver dogs. Emily's family has been notified and Matt was notified via his attorney. Our thoughts are with Emily's loved ones at this time.If you have any information about the disappearance of Emily Noble, you are asked to call the Westerville Police Department at 614-901-6866.
