Originally from Columbus, OH she was a two-time All-America at the University of Maryland, Meltzer was the National Offensive Player of the Year as a senior in 1990, when she led the Terps to a spot in the National Championship game. She also spent five years as a member of the US Lacrosse National Squad. In 2002, Meltzer was named a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s 50th Anniversary Team.
