Where to put Affiliate Links I stated earlier that the trick to successful affiliate marketing is placing the affiliate links into the content strategically and creatively so that they are not intrusive. So I’ll show you here where are the best places to put those links and how to place them there effectively. A Resource Page Resource pages turn out to be the top earning pages for many authority blogs. Why? Because these pages help people immediately who are looking for something. The solution to their problems end up being only a few clicks away. Sidebar Banner Ads I know I’m trashing banner ads throughout most of the episode, but they’re not altogether useless. The 125x125 ads that appear in the sidebar can be effective if the company that you’re affiliating with spent a great deal of time and money designing those banner ads. If you’ve found a company that’s serious about their affiliate program and will provide you with a great banner ad, go ahead and try it out. It’s always good for a test. If it leads to earnings for you, keep it. If not, then it’s just wasted space on your website that could be better utilized. Within Blog Posts Money should not be the purpose behind the blog post, but when an affiliate product fits into it, it’s perfectly okay to place the link inside it. The real debate is over the obviousness of the link.
