Nick and Aaron Finish up Johns letters to the church with Chapters 2 and 3.  Talking through keeping Gods commandments of loving on another and taking care of missionaries doing Gods work.

Finally Back the guys reflect on the end of 2022 and then look ahead towards 2023 and what God has in store for the Two Fish Community!

This week Nick and Aaron wrap up the study on John. What a powerful letter John wrote to the church. From warnings of false teachers to reminding us who our faith should reside in and how to live that out. 

The week we hit  1st John, chapter 4. Open those bibles and join us in our study, as  Nick and Aaron discuss false teachers and what Love and Truth to our neighbor means.

This week the guys are back into the study through 1 John in chapter 2. Talking about Jesus being the ONLY way, abiding in Christ, and watching out for Anti-Christs!

In this episode they break down our Christian walk down into three parts and how each part relates to the Fear of God. We can be tossed around in our walk but our goal is to stay centered in His truth.Step 1 Trembling  Fear: Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It's the beginning of understanding, the beginning of prudence, which is thought or care about a specific thing." Step 2 Fear of Outcome: Psalm 128:1,4 "Blessed are all who fear the Lord, and walk in obedience to Him ... Yes, this will be a blessing, for the man who fears the Lord." Step 3 Reverence for God: Psalm 115:11 "You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord. He is their help and their shield." Prov. 14:26 "In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have refuge." As Brian pointed out we may get tossed around between these different stages, but we need to remember that God is in all of them. Your walk is just that: God breathed and unique to you and there is something great about that.

On this week's episode, Nick and Aaron take a different approach for the podcast. We will be talking about Roe vs Wade, but it's really more than that. We focus on how a Christian should or could respond to such a deep and difficult conversation. We feel this is even true for a non-believer.   Are we cutting our conversation too short and keeping the world to black and white? No matter what side you sit on there is no way forward without some difficult conversation.  

This week we look at the diffrences between the heart of giving out of abundance vs giving it all up for God.

We start a new study this week join Nick and Aaron and go through 1st John Chapter 1. In it John points out who Jesus is, how sin and God don't mix. This book is  a GREAT tool in how we should have a relationship with God! Take time this to reflect week on these two questions: Have you confessed your sin to God? Do you have relationship with God? This week Nick and Aaron discuss the parable of the mustard seed. Why as mustard seed? Such a little seed can produce a big and grounded plant. We compare Mark, Mathew, and Luke's account of this parable, they are a little different but still have the same meaning.
