Business Strategy And Execution In 2021 -- TTG160
🌟 For help with your cash flow, check out the FREE webinar: https://event.webinarjam.com/register/1/7v4gqb7🌟 Or join the community at:www.boolkah.com/academyAs we move into the new year, it’s important to understand the difference between strategy and execution. Many companies have well-crafted strategies, but unless their people learn how to execute a plan, nothing will come to fruition. This is the primary reason why so many companies out there are failing to execute their plans. At the end of the day, having a strategy is great; but getting people to implement it is something entirely different. Business plans are all about growing the company and creating lofty goals. But is your team equipped to execute a plan that is truly ambitious? Strategy and execution need to go hand in hand, otherwise you go nowhere. Why are people a point of failure for so many businesses? To use a football analogy, there was a lower division team that was recently moved up. However, after one season they were relegated back down. The problem was that they didn’t have the substitutes to sustain a high level of performance throughout the season. When it comes to a strategic plan, people often come in with energy. But over time the company starts to regress back to where it started because the team doesn’t step up.Find out who on your team wants to learn, grow, develop, and deliver fantastic results. These are the people you need to mentor. When you have a team that’s able to execute a plan effectively, you’ll have a much easier time achieving the results you want. Make strategy and execution a key part of your success in 2021.

Business Planning For 2021 (Have You Started?) -- TTG159
🌟 For help with your cash flow, check out the FREE webinar: https://event.webinarjam.com/register/1/7v4gqb7🌟 Or join the community at:www.boolkah.com/academyWe're coming to the end of 2020, which means it's time to start planning for 2021. Have you taken time out to do business planning for the coming year? What does your plan look like for 2021?I'm still amazed at how many businesses go into the next year without planning out what they want to achieve. What's the difference between all of those companies that succeeded in 2020 and those that did not? If everyone has the same opportunities, why does one person take advantage of them and another person doesn’t? It often simply comes down to planning. People say to me that it's difficult to do business planning with so much uncertainty out there. But the thing is, there's always going to be uncertainty. There's never going to be a perfect time to plan, and there's never going to be a perfect plan to create. But it’s still important to start planning for 2021.By going through the planning process, you give yourself the best opportunity for success -- even as things around you change. Think about where you want your business to go, and stick to that plan. Just because you don't have experience planning, don't let that stop you. Find someone who can help you go through the business planning process. By planning for 2021, you’ll have a map that will help direct you through uncertain times. Once you know where you’re going and how to get there, the path becomes a whole lot easier.

Is NOW The Right Time To Buy Or Sell A Business? --TTG157
🌟 For help with your cash flow, check out the FREE webinar: https://event.webinarjam.com/register/1/7v4gqb7🌟 Or join the community at:http://www.boolkah.com/academyIs now a good time to sell a business? The answer is, it depends! Certain industries, like the medical industry for example, are hot commodities right now. These types of companies are selling for big multiples. If you're in a "hot" industry, then YES now is a great time to be selling. However, the reality is that for most industries now is NOT a good time to sell. If you're in hospitality or retail, it's actually a really bad time to sell. With that said, one person's loss is another person's gain and when it comes to buying a business we're fasting approaching "buy time!"I believe that by Q2 of 2021 many businesses that are currently being artificially propped up and sheltered from the recession will unfortunately have their bubble popped. When the economy starts to turn in Q1 or Q2, these companies will really start to feel the heat. Access to cash will become harder and, most likely, their credit ratings will have taken a hit meaning creditor payment terms will change. As they will be asked to make payments upfront, and managing their cashflow will become harder as cash reserves dwindle, a lot of these companies will be up for grabs at a discount. If you're a buyer, there will be a lot of potential deals to be had. You'll need to be shrewd with your business valuations. Don't pay over the odds as there will be plenty of excellently priced opportunities.By 2024/25 as we progress into the next economic cycle, investment will pick up and I think that'll be a great time for selling a business again. If you're buying a business, or if you'd like my help putting your business for sale in order to get the maximum valuation please get in touch with me at http://www.Boolkah.com

Are You Driving Your Business Or Is It Driving You? How To Create Your Ideal Life! --TTG156
🌟 For help with your cash flow, check out the FREE webinar: https://event.webinarjam.com/register/1/7v4gqb7🌟 Or join the community at:www.boolkah.com/academyAs kids, we could envision our ideal life. We had professional and personal goals, and we didn’t feel limited by our imagination. But when you go into business, things don't necessarily go according to plan. A lot of people go into business because they want to better themselves. At first, we have this huge adrenaline rush. We’re excited to finally be free from a 9-5 job, or we’re simply happy to build something that’s our own.But what often happens is the business takes over. You begin to work harder and harder to the point that your ideal life starts to take a backseat to the everyday grind. At this point, your professional and personal goals are both being sabotaged. The problem is, you're scared to stop because the revenue would stop. Before you know it, your business is your boss. The freedom you wanted for yourself escapes you. We need to flip that. The key is to go back to those days when we were young and could dream. If you own your business, the business should serve you. However, the only way that will happen is if you map out what your personal life should look like. After all, how are you going to structure a business to give you your ideal life if you don't know what that life looks like? It’s time to reimagine your professional and personal goals. Give yourself the right map so that you can get to where you want to go.

The Benefits Of An Organisational Restructure (Is It Time To Make A Change?) -- TTG154
🌟 For help with your cash flow, check out the FREE webinar: https://event.webinarjam.com/register...🌟 Or join the community at: www.boolkah.com/academyIs it time for an organisational restructure? With changes brought on by the pandemic, and advances in technology, corporate restructuring is going to become an important process in 2021 and beyond.Resizing is not a term that is commonly used in business. But this will be one of the most common words of 2021. I grew up in the era where your environment was really crucial to your business. You wanted to create the right kind of impression through your building and office space. However, in the last three years, that space became less and less important as my work became international, and more reliant on video. At the end of 2019, as my lease was coming to an end, I wondered if it was time for a corporate restructuring. When the pandemic happened, I didn't really think it would get to us to the degree it did. But as I gradually realized the extent to which it would shape our lives, I decided to do an organisational restructure and get rid of the office space. With resizing, you lose space and gain other space; you gain different support structures and people. How long do you want to hold onto the cost of physical space? How can you carve it up and change it? Answering these questions will help you become more efficient, and you’ll be able to figure out whether or not it’s time for corporate restructuring. There are a lot of changes that go along with an organisational restructure, but if done right, they will help you save money and adapt to a changing world.--------------------CONNECT WITH PETER BOOLKAH:--------------------http://www.Boolkah.com

Preparing For A Future Workplace (95% Of Us Will Need To Retrain) --TTG153
How would you feel if you heard that 95 percent of people will need employee retraining? At first I was quite skeptical of that claim, but the truth is that the future workplace could look very different than what we have now.To me, the claim sounded like an exaggeration. But the last two months have made me understand that this could, in fact, be true. The reason is that the way that we're working has changed. A lot of people are waiting for the world to bounce back to normal. But the reality is that normal probably isn’t going to come rushing back anytime soon. So, we’re going to have to adapt and pivot.I have a lot of clients that didn't want to do virtual meetings for the longest time. They were accustomed to the personal interactions, and I don’t blame them. But the future workplace will be different and employee retraining is going to be a necessary part of that transition. My own switch to a completely online way of doing things meant that I had to teach myself new things. When I first started conducting my strategic team planning days online, not everyone had the right facilities at home and so the experience was limited for some. Six months later there has been an incredible amount of innovation regarding online tools. It's like a whole new industry. With this new industry, employee retraining is going to be crucial. Are you prepared for the future workplace? With each new change, make sure that your team is up to speed so that you can reap the benefits.--------------------CONNECT WITH PETER BOOLKAH:--------------------http://www.Boolkah.comhttps://www.facebook.com/Boolkahhttps://www.instagram.com/pboolkah/https://www.linkedin.com/in/boolkahhttps://twitter.com/boolkah

When Not To Pivot Your Business (Change Isn’t Always Good!) --TTG152
Business changes are not always good. That’s why it’s important to know when to pivot your business and when not to.You see, “pivot” is probably one of the most overused, overrated words of 2020. When the pandemic hit, everyone said “you've got to pivot.” The problem is, I saw too many businesses become unfocused because they were just changing out of pure panic. When you've got no data, how do you know what you're pivoting to? Of course, some businesses had no choice but to pivot for survival. But it's important to think about the long term consequences that may occur when you pivot your business. Any business changes that you make now are going to affect the trajectory of your business.I recently did some work with a company, and their board had told them to diversify. I asked them what their market share was. When they told me they had under 5 percent of the market share, I was floored. When you have only 5 percent of the market share, it shows that people out there don't know about you. This company was trying to enter into new markets without having successfully established themselves in their original market. I see so many people chasing new, shiny objects. But sometimes you need to ask yourself what you need to fix in your business. Before you pivot your business, think through the business changes you have in mind. Are they going to fix your problems, or potentially create new ones?If you enjoyed this video be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with a friend!--------------------CONNECT WITH PETER BOOLKAH:--------------------http://www.Boolkah.comhttps://www.facebook.com/Boolkahhttps://www.instagram.com/pboolkah/https://www.linkedin.com/in/boolkahhttps://twitter.com/boolkah

Business Hierarchy Of Needs - Applying Maslow's Pyramid To YOUR Business! --TTG151
Today I want to draw parallels between Maslow's hierarchy of needs and a business hierarchy of needs. How does Maslow's pyramid apply to your business?Well, as I'm sure you remember from school, Maslow's hierarchy of needs outlines the five different tiers of needs we have as human beings. At the bottom we have physiological needs, above which we have safety needs, then psychological needs, then esteem needs and at the very top of the pyramid are self-actualization needs. What's interesting amidst all the turmoil and hurt right now is that a lot of businesses have completely lost focus of where their customers are. They're seemingly oblivious to the fact that business needs and priorities have changed. It's all well and good putting out marketing or promotional material that's aspirational and targeting self-esteem needs ("you can be what you want to be", "you can do what you want to do"), but right now are lot of people and businesses are in turmoil. The pandemic has left people jobless. It's put countless businesses on the brink of ruin. Incomes have been slashed. For many, even the roof over their heads is at risk.As entrepreneurs and business leaders we need to be careful of what message we're presenting and who we're talking to. If for example, you're marketing to a business that's currently focused on the very basic, fundamental needs - fighting tooth and nail just to keep the lights on - guess what? Their circumstances have changed! They're probably not going to be interested in anything you're offering. The reality is, basic needs must be fulfilled before moving up the pyramid. When you're marketing your product, you've got to really think about the people you're speaking to and where they currently fall in the Maslow and the business hierarchy of needs. --------------------CONNECT WITH PETER BOOLKAH:--------------------http://www.Boolkah.comhttps://www.facebook.com/Boolkahhttps://www.instagram.com/pboolkah/https://www.linkedin.com/in/boolkahhttps://twitter.com/boolkah--------------------ABOUT PETER BOOLKAH--------------------Peter Boolkah (AKA The Transition Guy) is the World’s #1 Business Transition Coach whose main passion in life is to work with talented and high performing business owners who are in the process of creating exciting, high growth businesses. Peter helps you to navigate and transition through the crucial growth pains that all growing businesses experience making it as painless and exciting as possible. It is important to remember that businesses do not just grow and develop on their own, it is up to us and our teams to make this happen by making every day purposeful. As businesses grow some parts of the journey will be easier than others and most owners do not have all the answers. 3 Day Employment Probation (& Why That’s All You Should Need) --TTG150
For help with your cash flow, check out the FREE webinar: https://event.webinarjam.com/register...Join the community at: www.boolkah.com/academyIf you enjoy this video, PLEASE SUBSCRIBEIn this video, I want to talk to you about employment probation. Specifically, are we using these probationary periods to compensate for a bad employee recruitment process? When I started working, we had a three-week probationary period. I wasn't hired on core values; they just hired me and gave me a trial period. It was very hit and miss. It was all about getting people through the door and trying them out. In the 1980's this approach was common because there were plenty of people to hire. What people didn't consider was the financial impact on the business. It was just an accepted part of the process back then. The reality is that this kind of employment probation is no longer a viable option. In the last thirty years it's amazing how our understanding has developed. Part of the employee recruitment process should include making sure that you have tangible core values that you and your organization believe in. Some organizations don't have clearly defined core values. What happens is that the recruitment is done without a proper process. They go for aptitude rather than attitude. No matter how long the probationary period lasts, people use it as a get-out-of-jail clause. When you start out working, you're probably going to see the best of your employees. If you don't, consider if you've hired correctly. If you hire on core values and have a solid employee recruitment process, why do you need more than a three-day employment probation? If you enjoyed this video be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with a friend!

Indecision Kills Business (Why You Have to Make Business Decisions TODAY!) --TTG149
⭐ For help with your cash flow, check out the FREE webinar: https://event.webinarjam.com/register/1/7v4gqb7⭐ Join our community at: http://www.boolkah.com/academyAs a business owner, learning how to deal with indecision is crucial, especially during times of crisis and change. It’s your responsibility to make business decisions even if the future is uncertain. Failing to do anything is often the worst thing you can do.During April and May of 2020, we started to see lockdowns happen. We had mixed information coming in, and the government (at least in the UK) was not adequately addressing the problem. During the lockdowns, the world came to a standstill. Business owners panicked. Now, there's naturally going to be a period of indecision when something like this occurs. Many businesses watched things unfold before acting. Many people started hoping for a bounce back. Then, the three-week lockdown became three months. Finally, restrictions were lifted and things opened up, albeit in a different manner. The reason why it’s important to learn how to deal with indecision is because the businesses that did adapt were the ones that thrived. What was interesting is that many people were still not making business decisions about the future, even after lockdowns were eased. Many businesses still had the mindset that they would wait for things to get back to normal. But is there such a thing as normal? What decisions would you have made in April if you knew things would go on for 18-24 months? How much different would your situation be now if you had made those decisions back then? It’s not easy to make business decisions in the face of uncertainty. But the time wasted with inaction will almost certainly hurt your business. Learn how to deal with indecision by responding proactively. Don’t wait for the government to help you out. As a leader, you know what’s best for your business.--------------------CONNECT WITH PETER BOOLKAH:--------------------http://www.Boolkah.comhttps://www.facebook.com/Boolkahhttps://www.instagram.com/pboolkah/https://www.linkedin.com/in/boolkahhttps://twitter.com/boolkah--------------------ABOUT PETER BOOLKAH--------------------Peter Boolkah (AKA The Transition Guy) is the World’s #1 Business Transition Coach whose main passion in life is to work with talented and high performing business owners who are in the process of creating exciting, high growth businesses. Exiting Employees: The 3 Most Common Scenarios & What You Need To Know About Them --TTG148
👉 Don't forget to subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXn1EOlVVgH7c5ppWQeFjWQ/featured?sub_confirmation=1There are essentially three different scenarios when it comes to exiting employees. By knowing the differences between when someone leaves on good terms, and when terminating an employee makes sense, you’ll be able to respond in a way that is best for your business. So, what are the different scenarios when someone comes to the end of their time in the business? The first option is that you had a good employee. They were in line with your core values, and they're just moving on to different things. They have a notice period, and during that time they can add value to the company. This is the most common exit. Then there's another option when terminating an employee. In this case, you've again got someone who’s not a bad person, but maybe they have access to sensitive information. Once they've made their decision to move on, they're moving on. You don't want to give them any more sensitive information. When exiting employees in this fashion, there could be a notice period where they're employed but don't have to come into the business. They also can't work for anyone else during that period. Then you've got the third option. This is when an employee is made to leave immediately. This is an appropriate response when someone has been troublesome, or there's someone you're going to exit because they're not the right fit. Keeping them on during their notice period could actually be harmful to the business. They could have a negative influence on others. No goodbyes, they just leave. When exiting employees, it’s important to know how to handle the situation. You don’t want to be caught off guard. Keeping these three scenarios in mind will make the process of terminating an employee much smoother.--------------------CONNECT WITH PETER BOOLKAH:--------------------http://www.Boolkah.comhttps://www.facebook.com/Boolkahhttps://www.instagram.com/pboolkah/https://www.linkedin.com/in/boolkahhttps://twitter.com/boolkah--------------------ABOUT PETER BOOLKAH--------------------Peter Boolkah (AKA The Transition Guy) is the World’s #1 Business Transition Coach whose main passion in life is to work with talented and high performing business owners who are in the process of creating exciting, high growth businesses. Who’s In Charge Of Your Recruitment And Selection? Why You May Not Want To Delegate --TTG147
👉 Don't forget to subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXn1EOlVVgH7c5ppWQeFjWQ/featured?sub_confirmation=1The recruitment and selection process is usually delegated to department heads or HR, rather than being in the hands of CEOs. When it comes to hiring new employees, who should be in charge? A number of business leaders are consistently dissatisfied with the quality of person being hired. So, talking to one business leader, I asked, “what’s stopping you from doing the hiring?” Well, they said they used to hire, and they would get good people, but somewhere down the line they stopped that practice. At some point they began to delegate that task. I understand that recruitment and selection can be time consuming; however, it can also be very fruitful when done right. Taking the time to build relationships with candidates ensures that, once the hiring process begins, it is a smooth transition. It’s a powerful thing when the CEO is seeking you out. When hiring new employees, a hands-on approach can make candidates feel special, which can help them fit into the business quickly. If your recruitment process isn’t working for you, then maybe you need to personally take control of hiring. Instead of being frustrated, take more of an active role in the process. Really take the time to sell your business to your candidates. By doing so, you’ll attract better people, which will ultimately save you time and money. How you want to go about tackling the recruitment and selection process is entirely up to you. But if you want to start hiring new employees that match your expectations, then you might want to consider stepping in. Management Buyout & The Bad Leaver Clause (What You NEED To KNOW!) --TTG146
👉 Don't forget to subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXn1EOlVVgH7c5ppWQeFjWQ/featured?sub_confirmation=1When a management buyout happens, you either have a bad leaver or a good leaver. Although no one plans that someone is going to be a bad leaver, having a shareholders agreement with a bad leaver clause in it is critically important. The reason why it’s so critical to have a good leaver/bad leaver clause, is that you never know when someone is going to leave the company and take their shares with them. Ultimately, you can’t expect that once you give away equity to someone, they’ll stay with you forever. During the management buyout process, when there’s a good leaver, they still remain a shareholder at the business. The shareholders agreement allows that person to continue benefiting from the company, and that’s okay. They still remain part of decision-making at the ownership level because they’ve contributed to the company.A bad leaver, on the other hand, may have fallen out of love with the company, underperformed, or not operated in a way that’s conducive to success. The last thing you want to do is have this kind of person leave with shares. If that happens, you run the risk of creating resentment from people who are still in the business. This is an important topic because it’s something that I’ve seen happen with my clients and their board members on several occasions. Often, people will refuse to buy-in if there’s a good leaver/bad leaver clause. However, this is a necessary part of the shareholders agreement because it will ultimately protect you from an unpleasant situation.Have you experienced something similar in a management buyout? Are you giving away equity to someone who didn’t necessarily uphold their end of the bargain? Why You MUST TAKE CARE Of Your Mind (Do THIS To Empower Yourself!) --TTG145
👉 Don't forget to subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXn1EOlVVgH7c5ppWQeFjWQ/featured?sub_confirmation=1It’s perhaps more important now than ever to take care of your mind. Rather than become a victim to negativity, take this time to empower yourself through education. By seeking opportunities for growth, you can avoid being brought down by the events around you.Recently, I was having a conversation with a friend who is a business owner. I was asking how things have been and he replied that they’ve been tough. He confessed that his mind hasn't been where it needs to be, despite the fact that he’s normally a driven person.I asked him, “What are you feeding your mind?”This caught him off-guard; however, it’s an important question to ask yourself. So many people go regularly to the gym to strengthen their bodies; but how often do you remember to take care of your mind? What do you do to empower yourself?Reading the news can become a burden to us, and yet, it often proves difficult to abstain from it. My friend was having this very problem. He kept watching the news despite the fact that it made him feel depressed. Moreover, he wasn’t reading anything to empower himself. So, what rituals do you have in place to feed your mind? This has been a tough year. In order to bounce back, it’s crucial that you feed yourself information that’s going to make you stronger, not weaker. Fortunately, there’s a wealth of information out there that can help you take care of your mind. Whether it’s podcasts, webinars, books -- all of these things are readily available and full of value. You get to decide what to listen to, so make the choice to empower yourself.-------------------CONNECT WITH PETER BOOLKAH:--------------------http://www.Boolkah.comhttps://www.facebook.com/Boolkahhttps://www.instagram.com/pboolkah/https://www.linkedin.com/in/boolkahhttps://twitter.com/boolkah--------------------ABOUT PETER BOOLKAH--------------------Peter Boolkah (AKA The Transition Guy) is the World’s #1 Business Transition Coach whose main passion in life is to work with talented and high performing business owners who are in the process of creating exciting, high growth businesses. How Personal Responsibility Shapes Your Life (& The Importance Of Making Good Choices!)--TTG144
👉 Don't forget to subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXn1EOlVVgH7c5ppWQeFjWQ/featured?sub_confirmation=1Personal responsibility is crucial during this pandemic. The infection rates have been going up recently and making good choices is more important than ever. Unfortunately, with the government putting into place new restrictions, many people have decided to disregard social distancing rules and gather in large groups. What I’ve noticed is that people go out and try to enjoy the last of the old measures before new ones come in. This creates problems. In trying to enjoy themselves before having to lock down, they end up contributing to the spread of the virus, which only necessitates more stringent measures. The thing is, we know that the lockdown measures are going into place. But what if more people started making good choices? What if they tried to control the spread through personal responsibility? Things would be a lot different. This idea of holding onto independence is an example of poor decision-making. We're not making decisions like adults. And decision-making is just as important in the other areas of your life as well. If someone isn’t happy with where they are in life, how did they get there? It’s the decisions they made and the actions they took.Just think about that. We all make choices and we all have the ability to condition our responses. There are consequences to our actions. In order to reach your goals, you first have to accept personal responsibility for your choices. On the other hand, by making good choices, you can lead yourself toward the life you want to live.--------------------CONNECT WITH PETER BOOLKAH:--------------------http://www.Boolkah.comhttps://www.facebook.com/Boolkahhttps://www.instagram.com/pboolkah/https://www.linkedin.com/in/boolkahhttps://twitter.com/boolkah--------------------ABOUT PETER BOOLKAH--------------------Peter Boolkah (AKA The Transition Guy) is the World’s #1 Business Transition Coach whose main passion in life is to work with talented and high performing business owners who are in the process of creating exciting, high growth businesses. Worried About Losing Your Job? How A Side Hustle Can Change Your Life (& Give You More Freedom)--TTG143
👉 Don't forget to subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXn1EOlVVgH7c5ppWQeFjWQ/featured?sub_confirmation=1With the pandemic wreaking havoc on economies around the world, having a side hustle is more important than ever. When you’re working for yourself, you don’t have to worry about being laid off, or whether or not the government will come through to support you. The fact is, if you can start your own business, you’ll be more insulated from economic downturns, and ultimately have more independence.Currently, we’re seeing a massive increase in the infection rate around the world. On top of that, there’s been a reduction in government aid. All of these factors lend themselves to a rising unemployment rate. If you’ve recently lost your job or feel at risk, you basically have three options. One is that you can apply for unemployment benefits and when things start to pick up, apply for jobs again. You can also start applying for jobs now. However, with such a high demand for jobs, the level of competition could be quite high.A third option is to have a side hustle. If you have a skill that other people may find valuable, you can start working for yourself. The team that I employ are all people who are working on the side. They all have distinct skills that they’ve been able to put to use to supplement their income. What can you offer? What would you need to do to be able to work for yourself? The important thing is to not sit on the sidelines. When you do so, you risk remaining unemployed for a long time. Whether you currently have a job or you’re out of work, having a side hustle in which you can start working for yourself is a great way to give yourself financial security. Compensating For Poor Employee Performance | How To Manage Effectively So It Doesn’t Happen Again --TTG142
👉 Don't forget to subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXn1EOlVVgH7c5ppWQeFjWQ/featured?sub_confirmation=1When poor employee performance becomes a problem, it’s quite common for business owners to step in and compensate for them. In this video, I discuss some strategies for how to manage effectively in that situation without stepping in or hiring someone else.First of all, you should ask yourself why it’s happening. If you’re compensating someone, could it be a skill issue? If this is the case then it could be an easy fix. As long as you provide additional training to your staff, then you can avoid having to compensate your team in the future. On the other hand, it could simply be bad habits. Maybe you did some compensating at some point when poor employee performance arose, but then instead of promoting independence, you continued to help because you were lazy. The next thing to look at is how much is it costing the business? When you compensate, either you step in and do extra work, or you hire other people to do the job that’s not being done. Learning how to manage effectively can save you money because you’ll be able to put resources where they can truly help the business.Last, figure out what needs to happen for this to be resolved. If there are compensation issues, there’s a problem within the organization. In order to fix the problem, it often comes down to discipline or letting people go. That may not be an easy conversation, but it’s one that you’ll have to be prepared for.Compensation is normal but you need to know how to manage effectively so that you don't end up costing the business. Next time you start compensating for poor employee performance, ask yourself these questions, and don’t be afraid to make changes when necessary.--------------------CONNECT WITH PETER BOOLKAH:--------------------http://www.Boolkah.comhttps://www.facebook.com/Boolkahhttps://www.instagram.com/pboolkah/https://www.linkedin.com/in/boolkahhttps://twitter.com/boolkah--------------------ABOUT PETER BOOLKAH--------------------Peter Boolkah (AKA The Transition Guy) is the World’s #1 Business Transition Coach whose main passion in life is to work with talented and high performing business owners who are in the process of creating exciting, high growth businesses.
