E306: Trauma in your Brain with Dr. Mitra Ray | CPTSD and Trauma Healing Podcast
In this episode, we have featured guest speaker Doctor Mitra Ray, who has thirty years of experience and helping people create massive change in their lives and trauma healing journeys. She has a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and a Ph.D. from Stanford, and she's the co-founder and CEO of REST. This conversation was so incredible, and I felt like, literally, just tapping the surface of this experience of what trauma does to the brain. We get deep into neuropsychology, neuroplasticity, and how your neurons fire in the amygdala of the hippocampus – parahippocampus. I'm am so happy that I get a share with you it's times like this where I'm like, man, if people just pay attention or what they're about to learn, I'm telling you, if you just pay attention to what Doctor Ray is going to teach us today it will change your life, I promise you because it changed mine and many of the things that we talk about are some of the same experiences that I've been through. As we go through, we're going to talk about the science, the research of trauma, and some key things that you can do to bring into your life to create change starting today. You could change your brain today, at this moment, and go from this process of being traumatized into being the hero of your own story. This is a conversation where you need to grab a pen and a piece of paper. If you watch on YouTube, you'll see on taking notes as we're going because this is such an incredible conversation. Even in the depths of this journey that I've been in over a decade of this work and five years of being really, really, really deep into the science of trauma, I even learn more today. As you can tell, I'm fired up, and I'm very excited about this episode. So, what are you waiting for? Check it Out and Listen Now, Unbroken Nation! E304: 300 Episodes | CPTSD and Mental Health Coach
In this episode, I wanted to thank all of you for a moment here, for listening, for being a part of the Unbroken Nation, and for being a part of this whole journey that I've been on in my own life, and in this show. People asked me all the time why I chose to make this show? Part of it again was the enjoyment, and the other part was I just wanted to be able to learn. I wanted to learn from people who have done things that I have not done, who understand the world in ways that I do not, and every time I sit down with a guest, I learn so much. Getting the three hundred episodes is not the mission, not the goal; it's just a part of the process of giving people the tools. And it's incredible to me some of the voices and the minds and the people who have come on this show where not only do I learn but sometimes it changes my life. Please take some time to listen today. E302: Relationships, trauma, depression and healing with Ana Lennyr | Trauma Healing Podcast
In this episode, I chat with life strategist Ana Lennyr. I was very excited to have her on the show because she is helping people get out of depression and anxiety while simultaneously learning how to build and create healthy relationships.   I ask you that question just now, have you ever been in a toxic or abusive relationship? And I know that's a question that we hate to ask ourselves, and for many of us, the answer is yes. For me, for a very long time, the answer was, unfortunately, yes. I wasn't probably the most emotionally abusive relationship you could ever imagine, never physically, thank goodness, but definitely emotionally; I hinted at it a couple of times in the show's history. But when I was sitting and chatting with Ana, she said something exciting to me that dawned on me that is one of the catalysts for changing the way that I approach relationships, both intimacy and friendships, business relationships, relationships with family, but most importantly the relationship with me, the relationship with myself and what she said that sat with me so strongly was we get back what we are, and I was like, damn that's so true because when you're hurt, when you're broken, when you're in this place in your life where you are blaming the world, where you're the victim you find yourself in relationships that are reflective of that and that held true for me.   Ana will break down not only the four archetypes of both men and women, but she's also going to break down the key to getting into a healthy relationship, how to get yourself out of depression and anxiety.   This episode was phenomenal, and I took notes as we went because I think it's important for people who are learning like myself to be present and be in the moment. I know that I will take this and apply what's next in my life. I certainly hope you do.   We'll put all the links in the show notes for and as courses you're going to take for free. So, make sure you listen to the episode as Ana gives that or if you go to thinkunbrokenpodcast.com, find this episode, and you'll be able to click the link to go and take her free courses.   Come and Join Us Now! E301: The Personal Development and Overcoming Trauma in the Healing Journey
In this episode, I talk about something practical today that I believe you will carry with you in your life and how to overcome trauma. You're not responsible for the abuse, you're not responsible for neglectful parents or a community that doesn't support you and take care of you, and that is true. You are not culpable for the things that happen to you. So, what role does acknowledgment really play in an acknowledgment is about looking at life saying yes, this happened to me, and within the context of that, giving yourself space and grace, and freedom, to start doing the work, because if you don't acknowledge that something has happened, how do you look at it directly to create change around it, right? So, when you're contemplating, and you're moving into action, you're making change happen in your life. That's where I believe that the biggest aspects of growth happen in your trauma recovery. E300: Discovering Mind Method and creating your future through mindset | CPTSD and Trauma Healing Podcast
In this episode, I combined all the powerful and amazing guests on Think Unbroken Podcast and talked about Discovering Mind Method and creating your future through mindset. One of the best things that you can do in your life gets clear about big things. There's something to be said about stubbornness in the power that it can have in creating change in your life, but it can also hinder you. It can also be the idea that you would make up your mind about everything before having all the data that will hinder you. It will stop you from progressing and not being successful; having a fixed mindset is so much about this idea that you have already predetermined what will happen in your life. E299: The Miracle Mindset with Tim Storey | CPTSD and Trauma Healing Coach
In this episode, the number one celebrity coach on planet earth is about to have a conversation with us, Unbroken Nation. I am to announce and share with you that you are about to listen to none other than the incredible Tim Storey. Tim has been touted as the number one celebrity coach on planet earth, spoken in over seventy-five countries, has been on Oprah Soul Sunday, has worked with you, named them from Robert Downey Junior to on and on and on and on. Tim is someone that I have looked up to for years, who has mentored me through his books, his work, and speaking to his podcast. I spent some time with him in Miami earlier this month and connected with him, which was this really beautiful, incredible conversation. To get him on the show has been a dream in the making for years, in much the same way that it was getting on Tom Bilyeu on the show or winning an investment from Grant Cardone or any of the things that have happened in my life. Through the power of visualization, I've been able to get to this place. And have such an incredible guest as Tim come on and share his knowledge and his expertise and his wisdom and speak into us and even speaking to me, which I'm taking away so much from this conversation it literally life-changing because I sat down and I said this is what I want. Unbroken Nation, and I hope you'll continue to listen and follow and heed these words. You can create anything that you want in your life, it doesn't matter what you come from, it doesn't matter the struggles, yes those things inform us, yes, those things shape who we are, yes, those things can even limit us until you choose and make a decision to no longer allow that to hold true. The power that you have to be the hero of your own story is undeniable. Tim is an amazing vision of that come to reality; to be a child who lost his father very young, to have a struggling mother, to come from the poverty of Compton, to now be arguably the number one personal life coach on planet earth. It shows you what's capable of when you take care of your land and harness your power and imagination to create dreams in his words when you follow God's plan. Tim has changed my life and the lives of thousands and hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people worldwide. He's impacted so many aspects of pop culture, life, and society in ways that you don't even understand until you really start to research and learn who he is. And so, I'll let him do the talking for me… Let's get into the show! Learn more about Tim Storey at: Learn more about Think Unbroken and Pre-Order my new book: Unbroken Man. E294: Dude you're getting well with Ben Curtis | CPTSD and Trauma Healing Coach
In this episode, I have a guest speaker – Ben Curtis. You might have heard that before; if you're over the age of probably twenty, ‘Dude, you're getting a Dell’ you probably remember Ben Curtis. Ben Curtis was an actor from the Dell commercials who publicly hit a massive, massive rock bottom. And today, he was a guest on the Think Unbroken podcast. Ben and I connected a few years ago on social media and have watched so many of the incredible things that he has done come to shape and fruition but also, he and I have become pals, and it's amazing to watch this man's journey. And I asked him to come and be on the show to share his journey into where he is today, in being a coach for men and helping them move through shame, guilt, and judgment. I thought to myself, like, reading and understanding what he does, I was like, who else would be better to have this conversation than a man who had a headline on CNN titled ‘Dude, you're getting a Cell’. Ben's journey is phenomenal, captivating, and interesting. I think one that many of us go through where we find ourselves hitting the magnitude of rock bottom again and again and yet, still reaching, still striving, still wanting to try to make life better and figure that journey out, and so much of this journey starts with asking for help. In this conversation, Ben and I go deep into that and how it's impacted our lives individually. This is an emotional conversation; we're going to talk about some of the heaviness of life here. I want you to know coming into this that; this is a space where the baseline reason I created this show was to have conversations exactly like this; then, my hope is the thing that you take away from our conversation today is understanding that the difference between where you are and where you want to be in your life often begins which is simply ASKING FOR HELP. I'm very excited to welcome my friend Ben Curtis to the show! Learn more about Ben Curtis at: Learn more about Think Unbroken and Pre-Order my new book: Unbroken Man. Because I realized that many of us survive child abuse, trauma, the whole nine, right? If you’re listening to this right now, you probably would better get something in your life, especially in childhood. And if you're like me, then you discover the truth, and I wish there were an easier way, this is truth and not. And the truth is that whatever it is that you need right now, whatever that thing is in your life that you need, something that you probably worked in mind as a child, there's probably something you did not get.
