Scott Erickson is a working studio artist who has been exhibited in galleries throughout Seattle, Atlanta, and Central California. He is also an experiential artist – bringing the making of art into public spaces. Scott has collaborated with a number of non-profits, such as WorldVision and International Justice Mission, using his art skills for advocacy and fund-raising. He has also worked with a number of musicians and has been on two nation-wide tours making art in live concert settings. Scott recently finished a three year Artist In Residency with Ecclesia Church in Houston, TX, in which he spent his time curating a visual culture within the church community. Ryan Harkrider lives in Austin, TX. and is local favorite in the live music capital of the world. He has received several awards for his songwriting & released his first full length album "Day's Like This" in 2009. Ryan has released an ep since then titled "Heaven and the Meaning of Dreams" and is currently staying focused on his new band "The Night Owls". Right after high school, Jamie has been finding her way in life. She took many directions in her journey. She was EMT. She has been a part time disc jockey. She has been an office manager. She has been a marketing assistant. In the year of 2000 Jamie got married. In 2003 the direction of life became dark. Jamie got divorced and at the age of 30, she began to fall into a dark depression and moved back in with her parents living in debt up to 14,000 dollars. Jamie felt stuck. In the year of 2006 Jamie decided to change the direction of her story. She got her own place living on her own for the first time, and decided to go back to school . This is her story. Alex was born in 1985 and all during his childhood he was a marine brat. After traveling all over the US he ended up in Georgia where he attended Georgia Southern University graduating with a degree in Geography. Alex is currently 28 years old and works dealing with the legal issues of oil and gas. At the age of 26 Alex became one of the vice president of an established oil and gas company. Alex is planning on going to law school furthering his education by next fall. But this is not the heart the story we want to tell. Alex has been passionate about creating film all of his life. In the last year Alex has put this dream to motion by creating a collection of Short films. Julie was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1978. and at 6 weeks old she was adopted. Coming to the United States at the age of 18, she attend college with a major in psychology. The story that Julie is telling today is this. Julie has OCD. She can remember at the age of 4 that something was different. She has used her disorder to help others. She believes that if she can help just one person having OCD, then this journey dealing with it, has been worth it. Julie has been married to her husband Andy for 13 years now and they both have a beautiful daughter who is 3. For 4 years Julie and Andy both host a podcast called Living With OCD where they interview and have conversations with others who are also going through this disorder. This is her story. Back in September 22 I posted on our website ways for people to tell their story on our podcast. There are 3 options. 1-To be on the show. 2- to email us your story and we would read it on the show. and number 3- to allow us to post it on our website. Our next story was received not to long after we made this post. Her name is Anna. Anna is 27 years old and is currently teaching 3rd and 4th grade special ed. She wrote to us that she would like to take option 2 or 3 and for us to decide. After reading her story, Rachel and I knew we had to get permission to read her story on air. -paul In Anna's Email, she told us that one day soon she will put HER voice to HER story, but today is not that day. Anna went on to say in her email "This is an answered prayer. I have been praying for closure. Searching for a way to seal the past and move forward. This is it. This is my Story."
